I’ve got a 724 transmission, with vgs, I’ve got a good vgs2 lying about at work, will I be able to clone it onto the vgs2

Hey man I hope u can answer this so I have a 7229 with vgs2 from factory my speed sensors when bad of course. Since I can’t purchase conductor plate from dealer they have on fcp for my vehicle but it is a vgs3 will that work with my transmission being it is vgs2 from factory.

You will not be able to clone that particular unit it would have to be programmed but it will work in your transmission

if you buy a brand new one from mercedes do you still need star to initialize it or clear the old codes after installation or is it plug and play?

You have to do the initialization procedure

So if my ISM was not shifting to park " " and I send a virginizex one and mine can you cut and paste the program from one another?

We currently only Make them programmable not cloning them at this time

I've read that the autel maxysuperelitepromega blablabla can reprogram the ISM but man it's like 5k
