I show Mercedes C-Class key programming for the 2007 - 2014 C-Class or how to program Mercedes key (c-class key programming) using the XTOOL scanner IK618. This will also work for W204 Benz: 2007 - 2014 C Class, GLK 2008 - 2014 etc. To program w204 Benz key, high end key programmers are usually required. On Xtool devices, the KC501 must be used for this to work on Mercedes Benz IR key (Mercedes infrared key). With the appropriate tools, Mercedes-Benz infrared keys can be easily programmed.

Good question. XTOOL only lists support for programming keys to the C300 up to 2013. The CLA goes up to 2016.

Yea! I need another accessory to do an all keys lost! Mercedes, BMW etc, generally use advanced immobilizer systems which take a bit to program.

So you didn't plug The Tool in the obd Port ?

Yes. No need to plug into the OBD2 port except if you choose to do the data collection by OBD.

On the "insert original car key" step to read the password, can you use a BE key that is already programmed or can you only use the factory original Mercedes key?

I haven't programmed a Mercedes with a start-stop button, and so, can't say. I think I recall someone saying it isn't, but again, I'm not sure.
