yea that is really all i was going for at the moment its almost 400 bucks for a new set i may do that in the future

I just finished removing the peeling clear layer. Used heat gun on low and plastic scraper. Removed glue with Goof-Off and then used Back to Black. Not perfect, but is smooth, matte finish rubber like plastic now.

Remove trim, Use a random orbital sander with 220 paper to remove the peeling cover. Wet sand by hand with 1000 grit, then 2000 grit, works perfect, nothing to peel off in the future. Not shiny but I think it looks better than original cover. Not dissing but looks much better than this and it’s free.

yea its just trim that stick with 2 sides tape over the rails still only a temporary fix just like wrapping them

While I agree it's not perfect there's no need to make the OP feel bad for sharing this tip. It is an option. He's showing his first time using vinyl, it take practice.
