If you own or are considering a Mercedes Benz C350E there are a few common problems that you should be aware of. The C350E is a great car and most of the problems here are not major, they can be easily fixed. Please don't let these issues put you off buying on.
Always remember if you do have an issue that you can try turning everything off and then back on again to see if that resolves it. Try not to panic.
It also helps to keep things clean, dry and wherever possible in ambient temps. Modern hybrid cars are full of electrics that will never mix well with the cold and wet. In short, these cars like to eat starter motors, 12v batteries, air-con compressors and air suspension pumps but no more than any other 3 to 5-year-old vehicle. Consider yourself warned.

1:05 Red battery malfunction!

This can be a charge socket issue (water, corrosion etc) or it may be an issue with the 12v battery - most likely, try turning everything off/on again -
These cars do not have an alternator so it won’t be that make sure your HV battery has enough juice in it. Other culprits include the air-con compressor. However, the most likely cause is the car 12V battery mounted in the boot/trunk next to the HV battery. It is possible to replace yourself but you need to code the car afterwards so it knows the battery is fresh and can regulate the charge accordingly.

This is invariably the starter motor - most likely these are easily replaced but it can be costly expect to pay 430+VAT GBP to 600 GBP.
The fault is believed to be a piston ring. The motor starts car when moving, they can short
The car has an integrated starter generator which starts car using HV when stationery, this is why even though the starter breaks the car can still be started in the sport or sport+ mode from stationary and it will just stay in petrol-only mode.
There are reports of the starter motors shorting and causing issues elsewhere
If the batter is definitely ok then it could be the coolant pump, control box or the relay that engages the electric motor.

This will be air suspension related when trying to raise the car.
It can be the compressor (which is located ahead of the front left wheel). New compressors cost £800. Other things it could be is a pressure relief valve, a dirty or damaged electrical connector to the compressor. Often though it can be a simple but big 40A fuse, number 114 found in the fuse box under the bonnet. These sometimes blow if the rising is triggered.

Try cleaning the contacts then turn everything off and back on
It can be a faulty charger module in the car, its also worth trying a different charge cable. Occasionally this error is caused when the auxiliary heater unit burns out.
6:13 - White lettering auxiliary battery malfunction
The auxiliary battery in the Mercedes-Benz W205 isn't a battery. Instead, it's a small capacitor used to store energy that helps with the stop/start function and switches the transmission into park when the battery dies. Its in the passenger side footwell and can be easily swapped out.
