Mercedes Car jerks? Torque converter? - How to reset, program Mercedes-Benz GLK350 transmission

.I hope you have a same issue and can fix it like so, if not of course other service needed, but I was told so many different things I even blame on dealer that they did something with my transmission, because I bend fingers in dealer store))) I have told from variety technicians that this could be bad transmission fluid, suggest bad transmission mounts, where I changed 2 years ago engine mounts, I have told that bearing on middle right front axle could went out, or axle it self.
Then I found video - ( bit.ly/2WUPa2x TRANSMISSION TORQUE CONVERTER SHUDDER NOISE VIBRATION HARD SHIFTING FIX | SHUTTER FIX ) where they adding small cup of special liquid to transmission through the measuring stick , of course it was on other mercedes. Then I start researching what can get involved and I found video for other model where is someone resetting transmission.
Procedure Reset Transmission Adaptive Learning DIY
1. Turn the key to position 2. You should see all the dash lights come on. Do NOT start the car. Position II: You should hear two clicks and all your dash lights should turn on. Do not start the engine.
2. Press the gas pedal all the way. By pressing the accelerator pedal to the floor, you will activate the kick down switch. Keep the gas pedal pressed all the way to down.
3. Wait. Continue to keep the gas pedal pressed for at least 30 seconds.
4. Turn key to OFF, position 0. Don’t remove the key. Some models may need the key to be removed.
Release the gas pedal
5. Release gas pedal
6. Wait 2 minutes. During this process, key is left in the ignition in the OFF position
7. Start the car and drive.
Once you perform this procedure the Engine Control Unit (ECU) and Transmission Control Unit (TCU) will work together to learn how you drive by monitoring your driving pattern. After you follow this programing method of the TCU / ECU drive the car for 15 min. Do not race the car, unless that’s how you plan on driving all the time. You should have a transmission that shifts smooth and normal. You may feel like you have a new transmission!

Symptoms of Torque Converter Problems should be like this:
Slipping. A torque converter can slip out of gear or delay a shift its fin or bearing is damaged. ...
Overheating. ...
Contaminated Transmission Fluid. ...
Shuddering. ...
Increased Stall Speed. ...
Unusual Sounds.
If Your torque converter can make a variety of noises when it goes bad. You may first notice a whine, similar to a power-steering pump that is low on fluid. The stator within the assembly uses an overrun mechanism with a series of clutches that, when bad, can cause a rattling noise.
but if it is just a jiggling try this fix first!
How often should you perform this reset?
Even though the car is supposed to relearn and adapt to your driving style and habits automatically, that works better in theory than in practice. Engineers at Mercedes-Benz had a good idea in mind. We would recommend that you perform this once a month, but honestly it’s all up to you.
This should work on E, CLK CLS CLA ML GLK S SLK C models, Crossfire, basically any Mercedes Benz years:

ATTENTION, TWO YEAR LATER VIBRATION GONE COMPLETELY, BY RESETTING THIS WAY, AND TEACH MY VEHICLE HOW CAREFULLY YOU CAN USE YOUR PEDALS, IM NOT SURE HOW, BUT DEALER MANAGER WAS DRIVING WITH ME AND MENTIONED THAT WILL BE MUCH WORSE, AND IT IS NOT. SO IT WORK WELL.

Nice. Another tip from Soviet engineer: Try to teach your vihecle transmission after reset! By following next tasks. Try to feel vehecle, every time you accelerate. If your vihecle much smother then what you have before - try to remember, when your have issues or if still have, try to give up acceleration, or accelerate, when you feel your vihecle start shaking or vibrate. Hope won't blow your head 🤯😆 Let me know, how that goes after 1 month. Here the stink - dealer tech sitting next to me while we go arround test for shaking, said that i have to work ether on transmission, or change torque converter. Guess what, it all went away, now when i push pedal, it almost squeak 🚗btw. My mileage 190k

Unfortunately whit CLS 320cdi didn't work l have to make a full diagnose and see after l hope not to be torque convertor.

I've already changed the both engine mount and gear mount and half of the drive shaft... Still my car makes vibration when i pass 50km/h with 1500+ rpm please help

What kind vibration, can you feel it is slipping inside gearshift or it is something between tires, and torque converter? Even new it is unexpensive, see if my guide will help, it help alot other

CKP has nothing to do with the transmission. If you can I would change the oil in the TQ converter and trans oil/filter and inspect after the reset did not resolve it. It also can be the conductor plate as well. I would change it out at the same time when doing the transmission/TQ converter service with a new plug adapter.

It should be.tey to listen car, and feel when you press acceleration. It is more then a year past my GLK350 only perform better, even pedal to the metal.

Can this reset be applied to 2010 GLK 220, I’ve noticed that sometimes when in kickdown the car starts to judder, first i thought it had something to do with the fuel injectiors but I wasn’t convinced, the car drives nicely otherwise. I’ve changed the transmission oil recently by the way it has a tendency to jerk when the car is cold in downshift usually from third , second gear it disappears when the car is warm.

Exactly what I have. See, I do not think Benz will change settings for other GLK model settings. It won't hurt. You will just need about 1 month to teach transmission sensitive by watching your foot pressure. Try to accelerate and stop pushing while you start feeling it is start jerking. After reset first time you might feel that nothing changed, do not pay attention, just follow my directions. Read comments, I have write lot of answers. Let me know if and when it helps. @@DanielMartin-ir2zd Good luck, you won't believe one of the dealers technicians asking me to go to the hill in Portland stip heal, and waited for something, concluded that I need new disc's. Month later my car was ok. 2 moth later I drive to SC now I'm here. Nit always listen Dealers 😆

Key in number 2 position press 2 times, cluster on, then press accelerator until i click, or could not it depend,, then hold for 10 seconds, then release pedal, don't press anything, and then after 2 minutes you must hear a click and you simply drive the vehicle

You can also remove the START/STOP button and insert your key the same way the gentleman did in the video.

@@karim_beats Not a pothole but in EU we have these several metal lines on the road before approaching pedestrian walks to warn the drivers in case a sign is missing. You can see them on the video.

It is actually slightly shacking now, what I suggest if your vehicle is still in excellent shape -DO NOT change Transmission oil !! If you already did look for additive's or buy-used/rebuild-existing trans

I well try to my Cls 320 there is a vibration and specialist automatic transmission said it's torque converter and l have to change him. I hope to work whit reset oderwise 800 pounds gone 😁

I do not think that GLK350 is in manual? You can try nothing hurt. I know for sure is that if still twitches and you just changed oil with 3 month, try to adopt transmission if you have torque converter by slow accelerate and not let spin

@@easyrider020You can do it. If it is no difference after test drive, do this, after waiting 30 seconds, put key in 0 position, do not pull key out, release pedal, wait 5 minutes. Remove key, and try it. Let me know.

Try it andvthen right after try to teach your transmission. Gently press pedal, and get your feet of the acceleration if start riddle give it a week. I push pedal to metal now, transmission like new 200k now

@@goasfarasyoucansee I have DAS and can actually look at adaptation data and can tell you this does nothing whatsoever - If it does anything it may reset pedal response but you can do that just by driving faster
