What am I talking about?
My topic is the KE-Jetronic injection system which I try to demystify as much as I can.
For all of you to understand the system in brief - Developed in 1973 and being mounted into cars up to 1993 as it went in history. But why these to letters!?(KE) K(from German "kontinuierliche Einspritzung" meaning continuos injection, without interruption) the MECHANICAL injection system on which the fuel starts flowing from the fuel tank sucked by the FUEL PUMP and delivered to the FUEL DISTRIBUTOR which sends fuel to the INJECTORS while the majority of it flows through the FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR through its return line back to the fuel tank again. The letter E(elektronische Gemischanpassung/electronically controlled mixture adaptation) has to mark the electronic sensors (the developement starting from early eighties) which had to inform the ECU about the current state of the engine so that the ECU(Electronic Control Unit) then could create current signal in mA(miliampers) and send it to four crucial components for the system - the EHA(the electro-hydraulic actuator, a unit consisting of a magnet, an electromagnet and a baffle plate) which had to fine tune the engine in each of its phases, the ICV(the idle control valve), the unit which was predicted for the engines perfect idle, the X11(the diagnostic socket) where the duty cycle(the ideal mixture) was adjusted and the X11/4(the code reader) - the socket which from any codes were read if present using an OBD1 scanner.
An extraordinary injection system which could be fully repaired in your own garage using a multimeter and a pressure gauge only for its fine tuning, together with some common tools.

There is another issue I had with an old goldwing GL1000 year 76, every carburation issue was coming from the rust inside the fuel tank¡¡¡¡¡¡.....and it was a nightmare to get those carburetors in shape¡¡¡

Merci pour tes vidéos et ton temps 🙏 Je possède une w201 2L boîte auto 122ch de 1990. Elle a 139900kms. Le mois dernier elle démarrait très bien à froid mais une fois à température elle broutait (sauf dans les tours) puis s’arrête et ne redémarre plus. Depuis 2 semaines elle ne veut plus démarrer sauf au start pilote en forçant beaucoup sur le démarreur. Elle tourne très bien dans les tours mais en redescendant les tours minutes elle commence à ratatouiller à 2000trs puis elle coupe à 1500trs. J’ai changé les pièces suivantes: accumulateur sous la caisse, tout l’allumage, les sondes de température et les injecteurs. Puis-je mesurer la pression du kjet même si elle ne démarre pas?

Bonjour et merci. Bien sûr vous pouvez. Retirez le relais de la pompe à carburant, pontez les contacts 87&30 et mettez le contact.

Very interesting call, I send my 190E 2.0 201.024 122CV 10/82-06/93 Engine 102962 122cv to a very good garage due to idle and cold start problems, they have the old bosch machines and Co cheking, they repaired a few things and improved the cold start, but it still is not working properly. As Fix your Mercedes from USA says I dont like throwing parts to see if it recovers, but I have decided to buy quite cheap secod hand spares: Overvoltaje Relay, COld Start or Start Valve injector and maybe idle valve. Can someone tell me this spares references as I´m getting crazy with all the different spare codes and so on. Regards for keeping us riding¡¡¡¡¡¡. Saludos a los que hablais español, mi problema es del ralentí en frío y estoy pensando en cambiar Relé de protección de sobrevoltaje, Inyector de arranque en frio y valvula de ralentí, que por lo que he leido pueden ser el origen de los problemas del arranque y ralenti en frio. Hi. The OVP can be a culprit for hard both warm as well as cold starts. It can be the fuel pump as well, or the fuel pressure regulator, so at first always check the mechanical part of the system and then the sensors. You need a pressure gauge and a multimeter. Thanks. Hello, how are you? I am following you from Iraq I own a W124 M103 car. I suffer from intermittency when idling, and when I turn on the air conditioner, the rpm drops, and when I press the parking brake, the engine stops. How can I raise or stabilize the rpm? Thank you very much in advance.

Hello and thanks for following the channel. The reason can be the potentiometer, lambda probe. Check the voltage on the idle control valve(should be 4-6.5V).

Hello. I need some help. I just bought a w201 with some problems. Mess in electricity is the biggest. Its a m102.962 2.0 87kw WDB201024. I found out that i have disconected lambda sensor, camshaft sensor and few else cables. And dont know where it belongs... I need some service manual or something, but i cant find nothing... Can u help me please?

There is no camshaft position sensor on the M102 engines, on the M104 yes. There is a crankshaft position sensor and TDC sensor(the top dead center). Which one of those do you mean?

Hello, i need some help... Part MB A 1020941012 Crankcase Breather Hose Connector; Inline 16mm Hose Got lost. Can you do video or some info how to "replace" it. I can let it 3d print or something, but need to know how the inside of it looks and works. I remeber some side was breathable to that small pin, but dont know about that second side, that was blocked or?

@@mercedeske i lost that one with pin to the vent for fuel pressure regulator. I remember, that it wasnt all way thru, but im not sure. It has hole from that smallest tube to that pin, but was blocked to that bigger hose on left, am i right? So the vacuum possibly can end there, so i can block these both ends without connect it?

Pozdrav drug, mogu li nekako da dobijem tvoj broj telefona? Ne znam da li i dalje koristis yahoo mail, pisao sam ti na njemu o problemu. Radi se o 190E - 1.8 - 91 god, na leru variraju obrtaji i od tog variranja prenosi se u kabini kao da su losi drzaci. Predhodni vlasnik je 'cistio' K glavu, ali auto po meni i previse trosi - 12l na 100 sam ja izmerio i to na otvorenom. Sto smatram da nije ok za 1.8 sa 135.000 km. Hteo bi da dodjem kod tebe u Knjazevac da ti pogledas to pa kad budes mogao samo mi pusti br na mail da se dogovorimo. Pozdrav

Zdravo, treba mi podaci o autu - da li je menjano na sistemu sledece: dizne, lambda, potenciometar i filter za gorivo. Ja ne prodajem delove, nemam nove na lageru, tako da ce auto da saceka kod tebe u tom slucaju ili da ih ti kupis ako nisu menjani ili kod mene da ih ja porucim. Pozdrav
