Women were used as eye candy more than wrestlers, and women wrestlers weren’t seen as being a face for pro wrestling. WWE's women's tag division was and is still booked better than AEW's entire women's division. Let's see if Mercedes says anything about only 1 women's match for "the biggest event in pro wrestling history." No Athena, Nyla, Riho or Kris Statlander but MJF and Adam Cole can get 2 matches, more than the entire women's division got combined. I doubt she keeps it consistent tho.
