Thanks for this video. For mine, I did have to remove the remnants of my old lower grommet from the inside, but was able to avoid the disconnect of the antenna unit and complete removal of the well carpet by pushing the lower part through from the outside enough to get that lip below the fender, then snap on the upper.

Very helpful, thanks for taking the time. I can add that it is easier to install the lower grommet from outside the car, rather than pushing it in from inside. Good call to inspect the hydraulics while the trim is off. Keep up the good work!

Thank you for another great video for the R129. I had to replace the outer antenna seal on one of my R129's because it was cracked and some "Chimps" lol , had the inner seal on the antenna shaft and wasn't through the quarter panel hole , as its suppose to be . Fixing small details , is a great difference. Thanks again. Best Regards

Thanks for the video, I was wondering how to install the grommets. What year is this? I have a 99 and the boot liner had a CD Changer that had to be removed. Also, there was a hydraulic cylinder and a bunch of hoses infront of the antenna assembly, which also had to be removed - yet yours was right there easy access

Hey bud just wanted to say thanks for the help wondering if u have a video on the catalytic converter I think mine is going out I have a rattle under my car and acceleration was. Never that great I also have a intermittent starting problem any ideas would b so appreciated

does anyone know what size that philips screw is holding the antenna in place? stripped it, need new one. thanks

Are there two size outer grommets? The one I purchased does not completely cover the opening.

Thanks. This video is useful, but it was difficult to understand because (1) the black goop concealed how the parts fit together to start with; (2) the camera was wobbly (sometimes the action was even off screen); and (3) there was too much manual fumbling that could be edited out to relieve viewers of wasted time. I hope this comment is helpful.

How anybody can do this to an R 129 is beyond me.
