■ Lewis Hamilton’s weekend in Shanghai has been truly a rollercoaster of emotions, but if you look at the results, the fact that he finished in the points should be considered a massive win for the 7-time world champion. Regardless, in the last season he is having with Mercedes, Hamilton has expressed his true feelings about the car after finishing P2 in the sprint race and then dropping to P18 in the qualifying session hours later. With him even fighting an Alpine at a certain point during the race, while Russell was fighting for P5, did Hamilton already give up on Mercedes?

Alonso was nowhere for years until he got a good car lol people act like it’s Lewis lol people really hate him saying to retire no one was saying that to Alonso when he was jumping from team to team. Lewis going through a stage every driver will go through the longer you stay in the sport it was bound to happen. Max is no different it will happen to him. Merc car is garbage plan and simple.

What are you saying, Russell didn't keep Alonso behind, Alonso was out of time to catch up, if he had an extra 2 laps he would have caught and passed him. Also Russell didn't have a fantastic drive, Lewis did really well from p18 -p8 is great.

Lewis had no business starting the race in P18. He made a silly mistake in the first turn on that hot lap in Q1. Why he was messing with his setup, we will never know. He needs to cut this stupid attitude of always complaining. I am a big LH44 fan but his attitude towards Mercedes this year has been appalling to say the least. We know the car is shit but drive it and try to bring home the most points. Push to ensure the team can make a P3 in the constructors.

@@jkbzzhis car is shit 3rd year in row. It must be very demotivating for him. He gave a chance to mercedes for this year yet and I think made good decision, but it is also quite chalenging for him. He should reach the similar result like George now. I hope he will come back in the better car and prove that he is still good racer.

One has to wonder exactly what IS going on with the Silver Arrows. If the setups are indeed nearly identical as George says, why is George consistently placing higher than Lewis in every race this year? They are OBVIOUSLY focusing on George right now because Lewis already has one foot out the door...and that situation itself is one that Mercedes created on their own by refusing to listen to Lewis' feedback on the cars for the past few years while Max just started dominating the field.

If you listened he made the mistake in changing his set up, and if you knew anything about F1 you would know that a car that only works in a small set up window, is a car that has been badly designed. I said it last year already. it is embarrassing that your customer team, can build a better car around your engine then you can. Aston Martin seems to understand the Mercedes engine and the regulations much better then they to. If instead of Stroll they had another halfway decent driver they would be in front of Mercedes in the championship. Also there is the issue with Lewis Hamilton that has been around all of his career. He is a fantastic driver probably one of the best ever. If he feels he can win he can get 120% out of himself and the car. But if he does not then he is driving around at at best 80% of his skillevel. This is such a year. The car is not god, he is with another team next year, so he sees no reason to put everything on the line.

Lets take Max out of the mix, NOBODY is quicker than Checo! FACT. To use Lewis own words when Perez passed him "Jesus hes Quick" And on average Checo is 3 secs behind Max, Lewis can still race ,he needs to find his old mo jo again like Alonso has and start enjoying F1 instead of just doing it for money. For me the ideal race team would be Lando and Perez.

I would replace Hamilton right now. He has checked out and can't wait to leave. I'd bring in Bearman, someone who would be happy to be in F1 and want to show what he can do. And Hamilton can sit it out until 2026.

An excellent driver, knows how to set the car up to suit his style, then drives it to the full extent of its potential.

I’m not convinced Lewis is done. His attitude is very poor every since the 2020 championship that he feels was stolen from him. He isn’t having fun and seems fixed on making records. He’s become a constant complainer and very openly negative of Mercedes. A change could revitalize him. He needs to have again like Alonso does. Russell is driving the same car and outperforms Lewis week in or week out. You don’t hear Russel continuously complaining.

EXACTLY!!! I know he is not done but he needs to quit this attitude towards Mercedes, it is not very professional. No one is blaming him for his many mistakes, he needs to stop blaming the team. Yes the car is a shitbox but make the best you can from it and try to keep a positive demeanour. He is being paid alot of money to drive that car, the least he can do is adapt.

Give him a weekend against Max with both in the RB20 or give Hamilton the RB19 and scream who understands the regs and see what happens.

That is why I will always rank Alonso higher, he can take almost every car and put it above the hoped result constantly, leclerc and lewis are very similar to me they are ones of the fastest drivers when the car is fast but they lack the overcome all odds ability that Alonso or Schumi expressed when the car wasn't that competitive

And I’ll see the Mercedes car you gotta think of it. It’s almost 3 years behind. Everyone started with the design and soon developed and used whatever they found the work best the certain parts to the next car. Mercedes did two years of the zero pod or a year and a half if you may. And then they changed it in the car actually got better. They finished second overall in the constructors as we all know. Then they just Wipe away all of what they gathered because they designed a whole new car. They’re behind their car is trash it has no straight line speed. It’s so unpredictable. It’s kind of embarrassing as a Mercedes fan and a loose Hampton or Russell fan if you are one. He has every right to That this race was a shit show is absolutely trash. They need to go to like NASCAR and talk to the NASCAR officials and take a page out of the book. There’s debris on the track and it’s anywhere in the racing line the freaking safety car out. Botas was right there in a racing line. Someone didn’t have brakes and they were going. I wasn’t paying attention. He was right in the line of fire. Should’ve been a safety car from the start. Instead, they hesitate to take the time. And also, how does the FIA not have? I don’t know track blowers IndyCar has it MM has it NASCAR has it it’s a Toyota tundra or a full-sizetruck with a jet engine on it essentially that blows the debris off the side of the track and that would be so easy to clean up debris instead of using pushbrooms like morons. Come on advance cars, the least advance track crew of all.
