We Picked up this old builders van with the main goal of converting it into a day van / campervan so that we could get away on weekends and be in a position to take our beloved chocolate Labrador with us for weekend trips by the coast as he loved the beach and it was his favourite place to explore. Otis very sadly passed away earlier this year due to widespread cancer that he was fighting with for over 2 years. We decided to move very near to his favourite beach and unfortunately needed the Vito to be empty in order to move our belongings over 100 miles to the new location. A new van build is most definitely on the cards for the future but maybe not as complexed as our first.

Just watched this on my main TV in living room and it made ideal Sunday afternoon viewing - what a pair of stars you folk are !! Brilliantly edited and ja truly joint effort which, for me who is about to take ownership of a similar vehicle, very interesting. Hard work for sure but didn't it pay off...the van and baby blue colour scheme looks great and I Ioved the bed /mattress ideas. Good luck Guys !

Very good Video, thanks for sharing ...Only one thing though: Should have put the curtains on the inside van and not the sliding door...Although you can now add a fly screen there

I really wish i saw this video earlier before we started put up the earthwool first and then the reflectics 🤦🏼 but we have just tapped it around with ductape 😅 where did you buy the silver thingy 😊

nice job. did u have eny ventilation in the car ? im doing the same project like you and dont have eny ventilation so i want to know if u have and how did it go ?

To be honest I didn’t put any in, the vents in the base of the door bins were enough and on sticky days or cold days I would sleep with the door open but locked on the second click as it closes

Hey, would you recommend only insulating the floor for summer and then later the walls if you haven't got time before the first trip and make sure all furniture is easy to remove from the walls ?

Absolutely fine, it was rather warm in the summer and towards the end of summer, use to sleep with the main side door open just to maintain a sleeping temperature

All from eBay mate, one of the solar kits was from Amazon. The units would have been twice the price but I asked for unfinished units so ended up very cheap! I think around £169 for both units unfitted. I miss this van! Good luck with your build
