Make sure that you buy the right fluid , otherwise you will damage the cvt transmission . The job is relatively easy and very similar to an oil change with the exception of removing the oil pan .
Double check the colour of the fluid since it might not be white if you live in different place of the planet .

Is it possible to use engine oil dipstick instead of gearbox oil measurement? Driving 30,000 km, ten years the car needs to replace the gearbox oil but not the oil filter assembly？thx

Hi, excellent video. I have a question I have Mercedes B class B200 2005, I am planning to do this service, I was looking to buy a kit which comes with 4 Litres of oil, is that correct? Secondly will I need any software to clear any error codes, and is the process exactly the same for B class as this video? Do you just fill exactly how much came out (if doing it at home without dipsticks/temp gauge)? Thanks! 🙏🏼

Thank You for the useful video, i have 2009 b200 , i get the quote from MB dealer to change the transmission fluid roughly about $350 CDN for an old car like mine :( it not to hard to do the job but the car come with no dipstick .

my car w169 class A 2007 getting 2734 and 0841 error, some time gear slip however from last week new error on dashboard - Transmission -visit workshop. total Milage 91k. is it require to replace the transmission ? or only replace transmission oil will work. I checked with one garage they have given me 2nd had transmission cost as 2300 Pound.

Hi, thanks for the video. Im actually doing the transmission oil change for my cla45 right now and I've been trying to check online about the torque specs for the tranny drain plug 14mm hex and couldnt find it at all.

Great video! I did the same for my A150 CVT and removed 6 litres, then put 6 back. I am concerned I may have overfilled, but don’t have a dipstick. Do you have the official capacity of transmission fluid required by this car?

In dealerships , they will use the original dipstick to check the fluid level on older cars which is hard to find online for sale ( at least I could not find it ) it has a bulky end and marked only for this transmission . The total amount of fluid inside the transmission must be around 10 liters , I don't know the exact amount . Unfortunatelly these are made to be serviced by the dealers so they won't tell you information about it .. therefore what is left to do is to refill with the exact amount you removed , or check the level from a car which have been serviced by dealership and compare the level with yours ..

Getting the original dipstick will allow you to see the level , or you can compare the level with the one in the video which I know is close to what it should be .

It is possible that in my Mercedes w203 C180K of the year 2007 Petrol, It has an unstable idle, when the steering wheel is fully working on the Right or Left ends, Wheels Greetings from Spain

An unstable idle can be caused by many things ; if the idel changes when you turn the steering wheel than it might be a ceased power steering pump or something that requieres more force from the serpentine belt .. You can try to clean the mass air flow sensor but it might not solve the issue ; If you want check on the playlist on this channel with all the videos about W203 c200k

no ; If the transmission is damaged or on the way to be damaged than it will make problems ; Also adding the wrong fluid / too much / too little will cause probems .

hey everyone, no problems so far on my b200cdi at. i flushes 4litres of oil but mechanic put atf gearbox oil instead of cvt .. is it bad? also how much torque these gearboxes can hold ?

For manual clutch, do I need to change the clutch fluid also? Read that it is the same as brake fluid.. seems my pedal clutch is not very precise difficult to enter first gear but not slippery clutch so I thought I should flush the fluid clutch do you have a video/procedure I think needs two people?

For the manual transmission the fluid is not on the clutch itself , it's just on the gear box . If it's diffcult to enter in the first gear , changing the fluid will almost certain not fix that issue . All the jobs on a car can be done alone ; To take a transmission out you will need a tall garage where you can lift the car high eneough to get working space under . So the best thing to do is to remove the gearbox and inspect it . Since I don't have a proper garage yet , I can't show this types of jobs yet .

@@doit_vehicles ok many thanks for your feedback that is saving me to look into this.. maybe I'll just flush the brake fluid I think on manual it is shared brake/clutch and replace it with new one but I need to look at it one day cause car (A200 petrol) got some hesitation when low rpm and accelerating don't think it's throttle body idle car is steady what do I'm think maybe issue? Spark plugs? Car only 88000km already changed once

The gearbox oil temperature should be 35C when checking the amount with the dipstick.

@@doit_vehicles Just re-checked. Looks like i'm wrong. The level at 80 degrees celcius should be between 7 and 5 on the dipstick and at 50 degrees celcius it should be between 4 and 2.

722.6 is a 5 Speed transmission. THIS is a 722.8.

W169 CVT needs every 60.000km new oil and filter. Its a very sensitive transmision compared to regulair AT. CVT repair is expansive, oil change is not. Mannol CVT works great. Other brands as well. Please do not underfill or overfill it. Amount depends on how much you drained. There are aftermarket dipsticks that work perfect. Also only use CVT oil within MB spec, regulair atf will end your CVT gearbox. After replacing the oil Let your car idle for a couple of minutes and shift from time to time from Drive to reverse and neutral before driving off.

the drain plug comes off on the opposite side :)), and the oil got contaminated as soon as you put it in the box because you didn't empty the converter as well, DON'T DO LIKE IN THIS VIDEO!!!!
