Thanks! Means a lot! Yeah it’s a type of wood glue, it’s probably not best selected glue type. Next time I’ll look to use a more rigid setting glue and will spend more time shimming. I’d imagine most wood glues would be adequate but choose wisely as this will determine the longevity of the repair, I’ve heard of some people using fibreglass on the door card back to keep its shape. Just make sure whatever you use won’t react with the vinyl or leather! I was referring to the top of the door card being the main event after dealing with the more minor separation at 0:49 which was the around the door handle cut out. Hope this makes sense now! Apologies for any confusion.

@@classicmercedeshacks8492 Ah I see. So youre feeding the top of the card into the seal strip and then basically using the glue as a hardener to maintain the shape ?

@@hamshank29 Yeah pretty much, using the seal as a mould if you like. Take extra care not to glue it to the seal. There’s a link to the glue I use in the description.
