Nice job, did the same on my bclass the other day and the difference with the the new speakers is night & day, only difference is I used screws for the actual speaker, makes it easier to replace down the road.

Really nice video - thank you. I noticed you replaced the stock with a coaxial. The tweeter in the door speaker work? I've seen some videos staying that the tweeter in the coaxial speaker don't work since there door speakers have a crossover and block the frequencies that engages the tweeter.

There are also loudspeakers with spacer rings available to buy. Then you don't have to tinker

What are the results compared to the original speakers? More bass?. More kick? Or both?

Hi MB212! I have a 2010 E300 W212 with the standard speaker package. I would like to upgrade it to the better audio system. Because my present speakers were broken. Could you help me some suggestions to replace old broken speakers? And How difficult was it? Thanks a lot!

Is there any way to switch out the 4” speakers? I think mine are toast :( Also, is your center speaker still working? I think I need to change our center speaker, tweeters, and door speakers. Every speaker seems to be broken.

To bad to hear seems to be really common issue. Did you get yours melted are you in warm qlimate? I had only that one in driver door broken but did replace both of door speakers when I already was in to the fixing! Not sure but think you can replace all of them pretty “easy”

Are the rockford fosgate speakers better than the stock ones? Because my stock ones are fine but i just need a louder speaker without the complications of an amplifier and time delays.

Can not say it’s better if your already got working OEM speaker you should keep them. You need amplifier to got the power out.

Did you also add a amplifier. I installed speaker but I don’t have any highs from the little speakers on the Rockford

Thanks for the video. Could you confirm if the original OEM speakers were 4 ohm or 2 ohm? I'd like to do the same replacement but am concerned with putting a 4 ohm speaker where signal is designed for 2 ohm speakers.

No Harman Kardon system only basic in this car, could guess it’s same but not know for 100%. If you send your VIN nr I can check it out for your car 🤘

Usually use mb online EPC check part information if not stated on part what kind of spec it is I search part-nr on google 👍 Could assume harman system use 4 oem because command system it’s same.

My Harmann 2014 E350 speakers melted in Summer 2020. Yes, melted. The smell is terrible. It is a common problem just on the 2014 model, I found out. This looks like a good replacement.

Read about that on mb forum they keep melting for some reason. Mine 2012 model only got really bad sound that’s why I did replace it.

I have a e350 coupe and honestly I have the hk sound system and It’s not that good, I’ve got rattling crackling from rear parcel shelf It’s driving me mad

My W212 sounds crappy, base is not clean an deep. Do those provide better quality than OEM speakers? Thanks

Yh understand W212 stock sounds it’s really bad. To be true this sound really good but did a mistake to buy with tweets and it almost no base but good sound. Going to upgrade all speakers with component Mac audio think that speakers should do better.

Sorry JL audio not Mac audio. That’s with component should do whyyy better then OEM mb speakers. Only hassle it’s the speakers in back doors you need to take out all rivets because speakers have rivets behind metal cover.
