Rick is so lucky to be able to travel around beautiful Canada and experience things that most people don't. He got to drive a train and stand on top of a railway bridge! I wish I had his job.

I'm so envious of Rick.... I love the guy and his humor, but this is the living end.... he got to drive a bloody train in Canada over the Stony Mountain bridge! Don't really care if the loco was built on Mars! .... and I'm a CPR nut to boot. Guess I'll just keep on dreaming.

Craigellachie, British Columbia, was where the Last Spike of the Canadian Pacific Railway happened as Lord Strathcona drove it to complete the railway at almost nine thirty in the morning on Saturday, November 7th, 1885. This village is located about fifty-nine kilometres west of Revelstoke on highway 1.

Ontario Science Center had a wonderful model railway display of the Stoney Creek bridge, and a little window to peak inside the spiral tunnels. And a model train would traverse it all day. I could watch it for hours. I wonder what ever happened to that display?

If you live in Canada its really easy nowdays... Just go for it! There are 6 months formations given at many colleges in Canada, after your all set to be hired. But remember that being a conductor is not only sitting inside the locomotive looking at the view, you have ALOT of duties. Radio communications, double checking signals for the engineer, doing the physical work like uncoupling cars/ attaching the air hose, activation switches outdoor. Not to forget that you are on call 24/7.

That must have been a special train probably made for this feature, because westbounds don`t normally use the older Connaught track in Rogers Pass. Also, the last scene looks like it`s at Glacier station just west of the Connaught Tunnel(the one shown here).

The train tracks were built by Chinese slaves on the big Chinese famine, the Canadians traveled to china and told them that they were going to have a better life... Not to forget that Chinese blew themselves up with nitro because actual TNT is more expensive ( TNT is safer ) And those Chinese, got forgotten by everyone witch I find very sad... R.I.P

It's so sad seeing that line and thinking of the decline of passenger trains in Canada, we need daily service on all lines, then we add more lines. I should be able to go to anywhere in Canada by train at least daily but I'm really only limited to the Corridor for that, but I can't take the train to Sault Ste Marie
