@@LordoftheBoard bro thank you so much! also YOU WOULD!! only you can handle characters that complex tbh~ hahaha i couldn't really decide! I'm 50/50 on blacksmith and captain-bs's engine is really fun to push out goods, and the captain is frustrating...but in a good way making me want to keep trying to make that merchant efficient haha! thanks for watching~

What about the Vampire class that is hidden under the insert in the Secret Stash expansion? I found the card types like Pox makes a huge change in the game for slightly better player interaction. Great video!

Ashetically, it's a masterpiece, but I enjoy games that have more interaction, focusing on the main center board, as opposed to everyone having individual little playmats. Old school

Curious to see what they have for the new KS campaign coming. Expansion, yes, but what else? Big box? Captain's Only sounds like an exclusive "night" club.

Right?! I'd love to see a big box because the core + all expansions take up HALF a shelf and would be great to reduce size. HAHA! now that you bring that up...i can't un-imagine that!

This game absolutely needs more interaction. There are already several multiplayer solitaire games, which already aren't my go to games. This just feels like you should just play 4 different solo games together at a table. I certainly appreciate it's uniqueness, but that isn't always enough.

Oh ok sweet so i'm definitely not alone in thinking this! Although i do enjoy the solitaire games, that player interaction would've definitely pushed this game further. Four solo games definitely is what's happening most of the time because rarely does one person know what every other class is doing (nor are they inclined to because ...they can't do too much to stop them from producing goods). So it's definitely a different and missed opportunity for having all the merchants duke it out!

@@TimChuon For sure. I mean the game is so cool. I love the production values and is a really great idea.. however I will absolutely double down and say that if it had player interaction it would've been one of my favorite games that year. Sadly instead.. I played it only a few times and moved on. To be fair.. I still own it.. but not a good sign when no one requests to play it.

@@TimChuon You can definitely manage the board state a little more offensively, by looking over at what goods other players seem to be producing, then trying to jump forward in time and stuff the boats with meeples other players won't be able to capitalize on. The randomness of the blind draw makes that less effective, and you obviously still have to manage your own board while doing this, but it is certainly an option.

Since the game is marketed as a euro game (which, to my understanding includes minimal sabotage and only economic competition, like in Catan) I believe that adding in more sabotage or detrimental acts would throw off the whole feel of the game and probably the balance as well. Not a bad trait in a game, I just think it doesn’t fit this style of game.

Interesting. I didn't Kickstart this one but I do have Cavern Tavern, Rise of Nobility and Robin Hood and the merry men. I've only got to Cavern Tavern which we really enjoy

Some of the lighting is way too bright and creates a very intrusive glare I can't even see the name of the game on the box in the beginning

Merchant's wouldn't interact that much between themselves in real life while selling their wares, especially if they are selling totally different products and services. It wouldn't fit with the theme of the game if there was more interaction during the market phase.
