Mercury 4-Stroke- ECM? Stator? Trigger? what the heck is wrong?

Worse case scenario for me, to start pulling flywheels off. A relatively simple task becomes a P. I. T. B. MARINER 15,FOUR STROKE. COIL READINGS ALL OVER THE PLACE. 288 KOHMS ON PICK UP COIL. 78 ON STATOR. ALL NEED REPLACING.

Yeah, best bet is to pull the factory specs and see if they fall in line.

I got a 40 merc 4 stroke 2010 an it runs fine in idle but speed it up it boggs an i checked my oil it has alil water in it but idk why it bogs down

6 beeps indicates an MAP, MAT, or ECM on the motor (6 pitidos indican un MAP, MAT o ECM en el motor)

Did the stator fix your issue? I am looking at my son in laws motor, same issue, no spark on #2. It will run with two cylinders but it has no power. I was thinking it was the ECM and saw they were no longer available and if they were available, a little pricey to just swap out. Thanks

Sorry, just saw this. Ended up being the stator. I saw the same motor for sale except it had electric start and thought I'd swap everything over and use it as a parts motor. It fixed the issue

@@ralphfreeman255 Well thanks for replying when you saw the message. I am looking for a stator now. I've had a lot of strange results in my testing. I think what's happening with this one is it runs alright until it gets warmed up and then it starts missing and the voltage readings drop.

Hey I got a used stator and I'm getting the same readings I was getting with the old stator. Im getting good readings off the primary of both stators and I'm getting low readings going to the coil on both. I've tested and replaced everything except the ECM. Do you have a good ECM in your extra parts that you would like to sell? I'm trying to get this running for my son in law. My daughter doesn't want him spending the money on a new boat😀
