I wouldn't interrupt Guthrie during a solo even if I was having a stroke.

Guthrie's ability is just ....... where's it stop ? where's the top ? where does the ability cap off at ? , I'll say this , the next new greatest guitarists that comes along and knocks Guthrie out of the number one spot is gonna have to really really really really really really really really really really really be unimaginably good ... meaning my imagination doesn't go that far out there ....

The original composition is by Joe Zawinul, if I'm not mistaken. :)

What's with the red and black nylon Jazz III picks? Does Guthrie either one of those picks or does he use different ones?
@jamesdee12317 жыл бұрын
Was wondering that myself. I saw him use the red nylon Jazz 3 once but not too sure what he uses now..

Now he uses Red Bear Picks. Here's the link to his signature pick. www.redbeartrading.com/ccp8/index.php?app=ecom&ns=prodshow&ref=GG Great picks. Expensive but they last forever. I unfortunately keep losing them. The red Jazz iiis are great to keep in backup.

The picks being small with that sharp edge once held force the player to have to be precise with their pick attack... Plus they are tough without being to thick so it gives a crisp attack... Playing rhythm with them takes getting used too

as a guitarrist i can point the difference in the material which they re made of; black JIII are made of Stiffo (stiffer material) and the red ones are nylon. nylon tend to bend a bit more than stiffo's, and nylon picks tend to wear a bit faster with use (resulting in a more circular-like shaped pick) rather than stiffos that keep their sharp a bit more time.
