Man that brings me way back. I've always felt Hank was the heart and Michael was the soul of Mercyful Fate. That sound and European tone captured me as a teenager.

Dangerous Meeting, for me, is one of the best guitar riffing and solos ever constructed. So kick ass. It never gets old and when I learned it on guitar it was TOO fun to play Lol Still is and never wont be. More cranked up the better. Thank you for this guys. My older brother was serving in the Navy and was in the Mediterranean when he stumbled across this album while in port. He sent it to me and when I first heard it it scared the shit out me. I was hooked ever since...my favorite album ever.

Me an one of my friends met Kirk Hammet at a small club in late 84 . He was wearing walkman. My friend asked him "What are you listening to". He said Don't break the oath. We went out an bought it the next day.

I've said it before and I will say it again; SO great. What a team! The guitar tone here is beyond excellent, possibly better than on record (if such a thing is possible). But what impresses most is the synergy between Michael and Hank; there are few duos in the musical world that work so well together as these two gentlemen.

Untouchable band. Judas Priest, Black Sabbath and Mercyful Fate. Unholy trinity, the standard that everyone else is compared to.

I bought this album in 1985 when I was 16 years old. My mother found the lyrics to Welcome Princess of Hell written down and flipped out a lil. But this album was such a big deal for me and Im very thankful to see this video

I was lucky enough to see their 1st show in the U.S. in Portland Or. I was 18 and I had never heard or seen anything from them, a friend said I had to go to the show that night and let me tell u it was so much to try and take in for the 1st time all at once and live no less!! I'll forget my name before I forget that show!! Also seen Metallica on the Ride the Lightening tour there and Raven All for One tour! Think I paid like $8 or $10 a ticket if that much. The Stary nite night club, it used to be a church before they turned into a club and all 3 of those shows I knew as I was seeing that I was seeing something historic!! Words cant even begin to describe it!!!

My 43year old brother introduced this album to me and my 36 year old brother when I was in 2nd grade and I'm 33, We've been obsessed ever since. I'm the only one out of the brothers that doesn't have this album cover tattooed on me yet....soon. I wonder if these two gentleman know how fucking iconic they are....well done.a MASTERPIECE

I was a teenager when this album was released, I bought it on vinyl and still have it today. I believe it to be one of, if not the, heaviest album of the 80's (Melissa was pretty damn good as well). Rock on guys \m/ \m/

Adrian Smith and Dave Murray, Glenn Tipton and KK Downing, Hank Shermann and Michael Denner. Best guitar duo’s in the world. While it has been too difficult and expensive to find a Boss SP1, I have been able to duplicate the effect with a Q filter as I have a couple presets I made on my Line 6 HX Effects that get pretty close to the iconic tones of this duo. Some of my favorite songs to play on guitar. That midrange bite and searing solo sound. Of course the writing is stellar and what really makes the songs but the two of you had such great distinctive guitar sounds that set you both apart and easily recognizable. This was some real thought was put into song writing with many parts to songs and really complimenting each other playing. I love revisiting this video to see how you actually played the songs vs how I interpreted it by listening by ear and trying to reproduce the parts.

I stood in line at Tower Records when this album first came out in Las Vegas and still listen to this and Melissa all the time. My best Friend has the Oath tattooed on his chest it's so awesome.

I always said that if I had to hear just one song for the rest of my life that it would be the oath, thank you for such an amazing piece of music. I will kiss the goat.

I bought the rave on ep and Melissa when they were new and when this album came out I shit my pants the first couple times listening to it and will never forget the day Fate signed autographs at the record store in the dallas area and i skipped school that day because of the concert with Motorhead and Exciter, it was a life changing experience
