Just watched I can only imagine crying like a baby. My Dad was abusive and I got away when I was 14 and didn't talk to my Dad for 25 years. My dad found Jesus as his Savior. My Dad and I started to rebuild our relationship 3 years later he was diagnosed with cancer. When I went to see him he promised me he'd fight and beat the cancer. That was just after Thanksgiving in 2004. January 10,2005 I had gone to the store and I looked up at the sky and seen a double rainbow. I had an overwhelming sence of peace and heard a voice say it's ok let him go. I got home and called my step mom and told her. She asked if I wanted to tell Dad as she held the phone to his ear. I told him about the rainbow and the voice that said it's ok to go home. My Dad took one last deep breath and was gone. I felt my heart shatter into pieces then I heard that voice again say it's ok to let him go and again I felt that overwhelming sence of peace. I believe it was Jesus telling me it was ok my Dad was home with him. Thank you Jesus for loving my Dad loving me loving the world. We are all sinners and fall short of the glory of God but through Jesus we can live forever in heaven. I CAN ONLY IMAGINE

I am from Ukraine, from about 13 to 19 years old I used drugs. I took everything out of the house and sold it, all my relatives suffered very much because of me. There was such emptiness in my heart that I wanted to die. But I thank God for finding me, freeing me and filling my empty life with meaning. We cannot even imagine what the Father's loving Hands can do with our broken lives. Today my country is going through a war, I ask you to pray that the war will end.

While my husband was battling stage 4 cancer, he watched this movie at least three times. It gave him hope, but most of all, he knew he was lacking forgiveness toward those who hurt him. In the end, he gave his life to Christ! I believe this movie gave him the hope that there is life with Christ when we pass from this life to the next! I thank God for MercyMe and this film! My husband is now with Jesus, I praise God for this movie showing at the moment we needed it most to give him peace. Praise God, thank you Jesus!

This is what I am hoping and praying for. My husband is battling Stage IVc incurable cancer. He's scared of dying. He's envious of me that I have faith we'll all be together again. Our 24 yr old son has gone ahead of us. I use to be scared of death, because my young mind could not wrap itself around what we would be like. After my son's death 9 years ago, I got it. I want my husband to watch this movie as he had a difficult upbringing. I hope this movie will bring him into God's love and light❣️

I was homeless for 4 years and without a job. I now have a safe place to live and I have a job. I give God the glory. Thank you Jesus for providing for me. And protecting me through my struggles. I love you Lord.

@@tenbel1we live in a fallen world. Bad things happen. God doesn’t create the evil. He feels and sees every evil deed. To be created in his image means that we have free will. We have free will in a fallen world. The assembly in Heaven also have free will. Many many of them rebelled. Part of the reason and the start of the reason why we are in this predicament. But God loves us so much that he lets sin exist, bc to wipe away sin he would have to wipe all of us away. He sees the end and bc he can see the end and loves us more than we can fathom he bears it all. The Bible is a story of a rescue mission. Our God is an awesome God. He reigns from heaven above. I rebelled against our holy father for 13 years. I was in new age. Practicing channeling and dancing with the devil, unknowingly but still, and God let my leash run to the furthest point and then he called me home. Blinders were ripped off and I saw the truth and felt the love and spent so long in repentance. I still repent almost daily on things of the past and of current crap. I would get an ESV Bible and the app and start listening and start reading. God calls his children home. Also, I’d look up Dr. Michael Heiser. He has passed away but he makes the Bible so understandable. The watchers created so much havoc.

Acabei de assistir na globo 13/08 Tinha acabado de brigar com a minha mãe, ela me mandou um áudio hoje perguntando, pq não estou falando com ela: "Olha minha filha , qual o motivo fora os males que eu te fiz , que vc não estava falando comigo ". Ela sabe que destruiu minha vida é ainda quer que eu fale com ela. Eu não consigo conviver 😭😭 não tenho vontade de falar, na hora do filme que ele coloca no diário eu decido perdoar meu pai , eu orei e falei que perdoo ela, mais eu já hora faz anos tentando liberar Perdão, mas sempre quando lembro dói....😢 Nem sei mais o que eu faço.

I remember watching this movie in the theater and my whole family was crying including me...another family said to us “can we pray with you?” We stood in a circle and prayed together. I’ll never forget that. Incredible movie

Found my father after 54 years of not knowing where or what he looked like. Only that he was in the US military based in the UK in 1969. Through prayers and ancestry searching. I've found my dad, isn't God great Thank you, Jesus 🙏🏽❤️

this was my favourite song when I was battling infertility.i could only imagine getting a positive pregnancy result , having safe pregnancy and holding my baby in my arms .after 5 years of infertility I got pregnant and gave birth to a healthy baby boy.thank you God❤

My father’s funeral was February 18th, 2023, and this was one of the songs for his services. Me and my dad weren’t always on the best of terms. In fact, we did have some difficulties and hardships, but naturally, as any father and son would, we did talk about what so has happened and everything, and naturally, we did let our troubles be put behind us and we did let bygones be bygones. As his health was rapidly declining, even after two heart attacks and a stroke, we actually were somewhat close than we ever really were before. February 9, 2023, his health was rapidly declining, and I called the ambulance and they said he had respiratory shock. At the hospital, the same day, February 9, 2023, 3:15PM, he died of congestive heart failure followed by respiratory distress. I can only imagine how well he is doing up there. I even hope he and my mother, who died four and a half years earlier of pancreatic cancer, are making peace with each other even when they divorced. I believe, if anything, he is at peace and is making peace with Mom. Dad? I can only imagine what it’d be like if you were still here. Truly, Dad, I miss you a lot.

My son passed away December of 2023 and I can only imagine his surprise when he was standing in the presence of God at the age of 46 from cardiac arrest. I can only imagine he is dancing, praising and in awe of our Lord Jesus Christ

Inspiring.I am in recovery 6yrs clean from heroin, spead and alcohol. The last dramatic entrance to rehab yet again was 72yrs old. My faith got me through stuff you couldn't make up!! "I can only imagine" I was needed on the shop floor to unknowingly touch lives like mine. It's never to late to stop the madness. I'm almost 78yrs now as you'd expect a few health problems. Hartfailure and extremely ugly making Scoliosis but whatever, life is good and very precious. A gift we could loose in a flash so l'm light heartedly picking some songs for my funeral. This always is no1. Trouble is I won't be able to hear it. But who knows, l might be up there singing it and dancing for Jesus with an absolutely straight back. I can only imagine! Jude Bland

My dad was also very abusive I was able to escape when I was 14 I didn't talk to my dad for another 25 years. When I did talk to him again he had found Jesus and was a complete different man. My Dad and I started to build our relationship. 3 years later my Dad found out he had cancer I went to see him and he made me a promise he would fight and beat the cancer. Less than a month and a half later my Dad lay on his bed I seen a double rainbow and a calmness came over me and I heard a voice tell it's ok let him go. I called my step mom and told her she asked if I wanted to tell dad she held the phone to his ear and I told him about the rainbow and the voice telling me it's ok he can go home to live with God and his son my Dad took one last deep breath and was gone. It hurt more than anything but Jesus kept his promise when he told me it's ok let him go. I love you Dad 😥😥😥 surrounded by your Glory what will my heart feel will I dance for you Jesus or in awe of you will I be still. I can only imagine praise Jesus

@katytinder I can only imagine. During covid. My daughter lost her 1st father in law to covid he had cancer too. Then her 3rd father in law was killed 3 months later in an attempted robbery. My mom's best friend lost her son in law to covid, a police officer. A week later his brother died of covid. Then a week after that his last brother got killed in an oil rig explosion..I also talk to my cousin who lost his wife to cancer during covid. He's sad as his in laws want to keep their only child away from him. It will get better trust me. If crying helps then do it but not to make you sick. Breathe and ask God to give you peace of mind. It's still not over for me because I have to take her ashes to another country so she can be with her family. God bless. My thoughts are with you always.

I lost my sister this year and my father-in-law last year. I miss them, but thank God for memories and for them no longer suffering. Not long before my father-in-law passed, there was a day when it was sunny but raining outside. I went outside with my baby girl and stood in the gentle rain. Not long after, my family and I saw a beautiful rainbow outside. I felt peace about my Pops (what I called him) and that God would take Him soon. He passed on a Sunday and was honored as a veteran. The day before my sister passed, God led me to pray for her. She had her struggles in life, but she loved the Lord. She, too, is forever in the presence of the Lord. I'm thankful 💙

I just watched the whole movie and the first time I saw he's mother leaving him I couldn't watch it anymore because I became so emotional. Well since then I forgave my mother and I built a better relationship with her. Where not close but at least she talks to me now and agin. She's saved now. I knew Jesus had the power to raise him up from the dead ,but in my heart i knew he would never want to come back here to this old Earth. Just saw the movie today with 40 of my church family. It was so well done. Very raw. Very emotional. Very sad. Very tearful. BUT GOD. He touched Bart's father and the whole relationship changed. This upbeat version of the song just feels like a weight has been lifted off of Bart's shoulders and he can now rejoice that one day he will be reunited with his father and see Jesus face to face. Such a powerful movie.

I feel that this movie will not only touch the aching hearts of children that were deeply hurt by some parents, it would teach people the importance of forgiveness. This song started getting popular around the time one of my best childhood friend's dad passed away. He was like an extra dad to me. They played this song at his funeral, and to this day i cannot hear this song without a few tears welling in my eyes. . I just finished reading Bart's book about his life with his father, and i watched the movie back when it first came out. Both were so good! Praise God for the work He does in peoples lives to turn them back to Him. Praise God for His salvation!! ❤

I just finished watching the movie for the first time. The main take away for me is that "I have to forgive" I hold inside my heart so much hurt that others have caused me, never getting back the love that I put out. Always considering and helping others, but no one considers or helps me. Life is too short. As a christian I want every aspect of my life to be pleasing to God! So, even now, as the tears roll down my cheek I'm grateful because I strongly believe that there is POWER in forgiveness.

meu nome é Marcio, moro no Brasil e acabei de ver o filme, me emocionou muito, em ver a sua historia, parecida com a minha, mas a minha mãe não foi embora, ela faleceu anos atrás (2008) então fiquei com meu velho quando ninguem mais quis saber dele, pois ja tinha tido 3 avcs, fiquei sozinho com ele por 3 anos fiz tudo que podia por ele, então eu vi acontecer aquele pai que me batia sem dó nem piedade, mudar ser aquele pai que eu queria que ele fosse, então ele descansou (2011), e hoje tenho muitas saudades do meu velho, estou muito emocionado, Deus sempre esta ao nosso lado transformando a gente, nos ensinando em cada momento que jamais pensamos passar, obrigado por compartilhar a sua historia e emocionar, lembrei de meu velho com muito amor e carinho

I just watched the film and heard the song for the 1st time. Praise Jesus, I have been so sick and feeling so alone and hopeless. Barely able to function for months now yet there is no better physician that our Sweet Lord. Thank you Jesus for this answer to my prayer. May this movie and song help countless others in this dark world where most people have turned there backs on our Beloved Jesus.

This Song saved my life, literally. I was about ready to take my life then I heard this song and I couldn't do it, So my family say's a Big Thank You to You for this song. I now cry every time I hear it. But that thought is still with me so when I'm in the pain I'm in I turn on this song and cry all the way through it till I'm exhausted. God Bless You!!

Jo Crews Thank You So Much!! I will try that, I think they need to know their song is what's keeping alive and on this earth at the moment. Hopefully the doctor today will have some better news, as can't live with this much pain anymore. But I pray every night the Good Lord will take this Pain away. Still waiting.

God bless you. I know how you feel I am in your same spot. Looks like God gave it to you just when you needed it. When you feel like you're to the ends of your rope, remember to save your life because God DOES have a purpose for you. When I feel sad I imagine running into gods arms. Thank you, by watching this film about the journey of a man who was afraid of his father, and is now close to God and cannot imagine that it turns out that God is close to us forever, with the story that became this film, it turns out that I just found out the meaning of this song and its past. ,.now I'm not alone because I'm an orphan, But I imagine that there is God Close to me, Thank you MERCYME "GBU🙏😇
