I love this version! It retains the essence of the original but portrays different emotions at the same time. Shreya Ghoshal's voice and Tabu's acting... phenomenal and beautiful!

I actually thought the same when I heard it first. This one though is the closest to the original yet has something unique about it. The way of showing love or the want or need for love is portrayed quite differently in this one as compared to the original. Shreya sang three versions in this movie and all those three versions sound and feel different. ❤️❤️❤️

It is a average movie only saved by Tabu mam. If Tabu mam was not there in this movie, it would have been below average. Tabu mam is one of the greatest actress till date. I am 23. During pandemic I was watched many movies starting from 1960s. As an actress Jaya Bachchan, Sridevi,Rekha, Shabana Azmi and Tabu mam are greatest for me. And Tabu mam is so beautiful in 90s movies. I am in love.

Wanted to talk about Amar Upadhyay and Tabu's chemistry. They both looked so freaking beautiful as a pair in the movie. I don't know about anyone but I felt they didn't explored the chemistry much. Agree! I think what i wanted at the end was something that was exchanged anything even words of her undying love “ami je tomar” to Amars character, before she tells everyone to leave the old haveli to take care of her sister. I felt that was odd.
