The moment in which Nafees left his daughter and walked away was very touching. It is not a good thing for a child to be separated from his parents at such a young age. I don't like Nafee's family, they are all selfish people. The only person who seems to be a righteous person is the little uncle. Meanwhile, all the others are people who are sold for interest, Nafee's mother and brothers. As for their wives, I don't know what to think, they are also mothers and are not able to give a little love to a small child.

I love this drama so much. The acting and writing of the roles is so realistic that it brings out authentic responses from the viewers to the scenes. It shows the reality of a dysfunctional Desi family...I am am from South India, but our cultures are practically the same that I too feel I've seen such kinds of people in my own home and extended family...beginning with the Dadi character who is so senile, dramatic, passive-aggressive, manipulative...her upbringing is reflective in Raees's crazy and unreasonable temper that just doesn't allow him to breathe for two seconds and think clearly before sucking up to his mother and taking out all of his frustration on his wife. Naturally, Shah Jehan grows more and more bitter under the pressures of her mother-in-law and a careless husband, neither of whom act out of concern or care for her thoughts, opinions and needs. The cycle just continues because they find Hala, this faultless, abandoned child, to be the convenient scapegoat and representation of all their interpersonal problems. Shah Jehan is blinded by her bitterness and intense frustration in her own life that she fails to have any compassion for an innocent child and essentially perpetuates the cycle of patriarchy, lack of care or familial love, and greatly and negatively impacts the trajectory of an otherwise confident, strong child into one who develops abandonment issues, a lack of self-respect and self-love, and any worldly awareness. *Sigh* How many stories do we know like that in regular families all across South Asian countries? It may not be the greatest thing to bond over, but whether we are from Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, or wherever else, we are truly not that different in this or I any of the countless other ways that we are the same. Let's bring about cultural evolution by spreading kindness, compassion, love and coming together knowing that we are all the same humans, craving stability, love, safety, happiness, connection and fulfillment.
