I haven't watched season 15 but seeing this Video I like Mer with Deluca. Yes her & Derek were made to be soulmates but he did choose other things over her so yea he wasn't perfect. Mer can have another great love & who's to say it can't be Deluca. And for everyone saying Deluca is her rebound or fling until her next great love comes around. Sorry but NO that was RIGGS he was her rebound as much as I loved them together they weren't meant to be. Mer & Deluca could be.

lilyxavier1990 don’t get me wrong I loved Derek and Meredith, but Derek sadly passed away and Meredith hasn’t loved anyone since. I think DeLuca and Meredith could be happy but I don’t think he will ever fully replace Derek because Derek was the love of Merediths life, but I think DeLuca could be here next ‘one’. (Just never fully replace Derek)

Derek and Meredith were soulmates and they fitted together perfectly, but Deluca is cute sweet and he loves Meredith so much he would end his career for her. He will never outshine Derek, but he lights up the candle that was blown out after Derek died.

Meredith never deserved Deluca in my opinion......she never appreciated him........he should have stayed with Maggie he was too perfect to be begging for Meredith the way he was.....brilliant hot sweet protective, sometimes to the point of being an actual hero.......he was AMAZING.....but like all good things.....the writers screwed it up by killing him off....

Meredith Grey is so happy with Andrew Deluca. The fire that was put out when Derek died was reignited. Meredith deserves nothing but happiness. Andrew cares about Meredith. It shows. He is not trying to replace Derek or his memory.

Yes, I know it’s only a tv show, but... DeLuca makes her light up in a way she hasn’t since Derek and that makes me so damn happy. He’s a kind, loving, handsome, accomplished and intelligent man...she deserves it. Now, who is else worried about what’s going to happen once she turns herself in?! Ahhhh!!!

I think Andrew wasn't what she was looking for, but exactly what she needed when he came along. I would say the same goes for him. Meredith was probably the last person on his radar. She was just his boss. Andrew isn't like the men she's gone for in the past who are hung up on past girlfriends/wives, who doesn't push for more but doesn't play games either. With him, it's either all in or all out, but you can't keep running either. Meredith spent half the season hiding because she was terrified to really feel something for him. This was a relationship that didn't start with a hook up or bonding over deceased loves.

I actually really like this relationship. I'm rooting for them to be the end game. Meredith deserves a happy ending. Deluca's eyes are always on Meredith. He challenges her at times and cares for her in a deep way. ALL FOR MERLUCA

Anastasia Khvatova You literally are speaking from my heart. I was devestaded when I found out Lexie and Mark died. I loved MerDer but I had some issues with them. But Merluca is literally one of my greatest ships! I love them so much and people can hate me for this but I won’t change my mind. 😊

Completely agree. I had many issues with Derek. He was a toxic presence more often than not, he needed to be the most important person in the room, and he couldn't handle meredith starting to eclipse him. Andrew already knows she is superior to him. But he's not threatened by it, he's inspired. I love Merluca more than I have loved her with anyone. And this is just the beginning. The man threw himself on a sword for her for crying out loud! 🥰🥰🥰

As much as we hate it, Derek is gone and has been for years. I'm glad Meredith took time on her own with the kids before going into a serious relationship again, it truly showed she's a strong character on her own. She doesn't have to be with someone to be happy. But she deserves love and that's what Derek would've wanted for her. I was rooting for her and Riggs but Owen's sister had to come back from the dead so that went to hell. Now I REALLY hope MerLuca will be endgame. They have so much chemistry (I mean THAT elevator scene and basically anytime they speak Italian to each other!) and I haven't seen Mer this happy since Derek honestly. Andrew is kind, selfless, mature, good with kids, handsome and not to mention ITALIAN (duh)!!

I literally just finished it on Netflix, and I love be them together. I know that he will never be able to "replace" Derek but this is the happiest she's been since he died. I hope to one day meet my Derek or Deluca. Not to mention Deluca fine af and he is the perfect package, he can cook, speak Italian, and he's hella smart.

Maybe its been a bit since merder, but I think the writers wrote them to be a much healthier couple... well, I guess up until the end of season 15. I’m interested in how the writers will deal with that, and of course there’s still other parts of their relationship the writers can explore. I just reaaally hope they don’t ruin their relationship in the next season. They both deserve happiness, but especially Mer. And like cmon how do you not smile and get little butterflies seeing their chemistry and love for each other???

Meredith is in a completely different place than she was with Derek. And Deluca isn’t coming off an affair between his wife and best friend. Merder may have been messy but they were never actually bad for one another. They both just had a lot to learn.

I was so upset when they didn't go further with the Meredith and Riggs plot line. I really liked them together. Finally got over that and then came Deluca with his hot sexy self. Love, love, love them together ❤

DeLuca is so perfect for Meredith and she hasn’t been so happy in a amazing relationship since Derek and he literally went to jail for her and thats love and her kids approve and everyone approves i think Derek would approve They are happy but then Season 16 cane around. They broke up but she still cares about him when he is ill and i love that. I think that in season 17 they will get back together and have love and be very happy, But hayes nah, Hayes is not good for Meredith but DeLuca is and thats all that matters.

Derek was SO toxic. He brought her so much suffering so many times, chose someone over her, chose his career over hers, so many times. Meredith and DeLuca are what a healthy relationship looks like. People tend to think that in relationships where there is FIRE there is more love, but sometimes that's not true. Sometimes FIRE is destructive.

@@stephaniep4047 He did pick another woman over her even if she was his wife. He sent her a lot of mixed signals. He also broke up with her when she wasn't ready for the house and everything even though he knew she wasn't. He was testing her. Derek also did show he cared more about his career than hers when he published their clinical trial and didn't add her name when it was her idea and she did a lot of the legwork. Derek was always written that way, but we overlooked it for the love story.

He wasn’t toxic he was so loyal. Meredith light up so much when he we was around Derek. No one made her smile as much as Derek and yes he would pick his family over his career. You don’t remember when he said he wanted to stay here with Mer and his family but Mer wanted him to go. Well Merder is always gonna be my endgame and I don’t think she will ever love Andrew as much as she loved Derek. They were soulmates and forever will be in her heart

I stopped watching the show for a bit after the whole Meredith and Riggs thing because I wanted that to work out. I didn’t expect the Merluca thing to happen but I’m so glad it did because Meredith deserves to find happiness and deserves to find love again with everything she’s gone through. Sure Deluca will never be Derek, but he’s a good man: so sweet, kind, loving, patient, understanding and is willing to risk his career to protect her (and the added bonus that he’s good looking too lol)

Her most epic and greatest love story ignited in the elevator. The scene with Mer and De Luca in the elevator seemed so much of a MerDer/ Merrek thing. Also the stop looking at me and not to mention that hair, it feels like they're trying to recreate Derek in a way but it just feels weird. They're cute but I'd rather her not ending up with anyone. She's been through so much and I'd like Meredith to be spared from heartbreak

Oh WOW this is fantastic! So beautifully done. Thank you for so lovingly creating this for us. You truly captured the delight and joy that develops into love between them. He brings her back to a time of innocent love before being hurt and that magick is intoxicating to watch. Love how you captured and included all the little moments of him looking at her before they got together I would die for a full length version of this with all their scenes in entirely because your editing and slowing down is so thoughtful and invokes so much.

I think she seems happier with him than with Derek. Mostly because the last few seasons before he died they fought a lot, mostly about him not putting her needs first. That's not how they ended but that's what stands out in my mind. What he did at the end of the last season, Derek wouldn't have done.

She refused to let her kids meet his family and always threw a hissy fit and he always gave in. Yet HE is the one who never put her first? Give me a break

Every love in Mer’s life has a meaning. Derek was THE love of her life, the father of her children, who she was meant to be with forever. Then, Will Thorpe was to show that Mer had not yet let go of Derek. Then, Nathan Riggs helped Mer finally let go of Derek, to move on. But, as much as I LOVEEEE Merthan, Nathan is destined to be with Megan and I do believe he fulfilled his job in Mer’s life to help her move past Derek and not be scared of new love. Next, Link was sort of DeLuca’s competition to help show everyone how strong Mer and DeLuca’s love is. Love Grey’s 😋🥰😊☺️😌😛😍
