Eric Johnson is such an unsung hero. His slightly atonal dancing around the melody is what makes Archers of Loaf. One of my biggest influences of all time. I've loved that Bachmann has continued his amazing songwriting on his own but it's great to have the magic of Eric, Eric, Matt and Mark back making new music again.

Spot on. Eric J's noodling is a huge part of what makes the Archers sound like the Archers.

Remember in high school when all your friends listened to NIN and Marilyn Manson and you had Archer's Greatest of All Time and Polvo Exploded Drawing on cassette in your 1964 Ford Galaxie? Oh wait...that was me...

Haha a school friend in '95 gave me a cassette with archers on one side and polvo on the other. My music taste changed that day. No Ford Galaxie though 😂

This song is so awesome live! I think they were playing it in their encore or the 2nd to last song. The place was hopping! Truly an amazing show! Probably the best show I've been to in the last 10 years (and I'm including the Flaming Lips on mushrooms).

They relased a few songs back in 2020 before the pandemic craziness took root in USA. Im particularly fond of Raleigh Days. Saw them at Cats cradle, then Nashville that year. Definitely one of the most underrated bands i know of. Love to AoL! The Greatest of All Time!

@@ArchersofLoafYT Humans are declining in more than just the reason category, but goddamn it, I'm listening still - Absolutely brilliant return, Archers. I've loved all Eric's stuff over the years, but I'm stoked to see all of this, including Eric B's singing so hard . . . (and well, but that's always been the case) - You all crushed it. Great song!!

Maybe it’s me but I feel this is very Mission of Burma-ish with the noise and melody combining into something unique. The tremolo guitar helps a lot as well. Always a good comparison, I think…

I don't love this song. It is a bit droney and monotone, and lacks the dynamics of classic Loaf. That being said, I still feel blessed to be getting any AOL music at all. And I am sure the album will have plenty of offerings that will tickle my Stendahl Syndrome sensors. Thanks for the music fellas!
@baddriversofcolga2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I find this pretty underwhelming. Oh, well, I guess I can't expect much over 20 years later...
@ImmaculusVonNorton2 жыл бұрын
I did think Talking Over Talk was amazing. I still see plenty of potential, and reason for hope, in the upcoming album.
