I feel like it is a bit unnecessary considering they could just expand the base by say 5-10 tiles and increase the attack time on th16 based by like 30 seconds to a minute

@@ChrisPtoes27or do the logical fix and have the attack timer just be a deploy timer. After the timer is up you can't deploy/activate anything at the bottom, then the attack can just play out as it will, no more stupid time fails that way

Honestly, I’m personally not too big of a fan of this change. Doesn’t really feel like a signature thing for the new town hall for me. I would’ve rathered some earthy themed defense or even a defense that devastates air units since air attacks are so strong. Still excited to try this out, I def could be wrong and this turn out to be awesome

They kind of had to come up with something like this because they can't keep adding more and more buildings because will be no more space. But this allows for unlocking more buildings when getting to new town hall levels. When you have less but powerful defenses rather than a ton of smaller ones, it allows for more strategy because you can take into consideration every individual defense more.

Why is the archer tower only have one archer now. So we are losing defense and the old archer towers will be weaker because it only one archer on every towers except the new one

Its a big commitment since you cant go back to 8 buildings total. It seems worth it but with time being one of the big factors now on defense it's a trade off for sure

But the new buildings have so much hp. So I think that the time trade off will be minimal or even in favor of the merged buildings

I saw you merge the geared up archer tower. If you do that do you lose that setting or the geared up cannon?

You cant merge geared up defences, only 2 non geared max lvl archer towers and similar cannons, and u can merge 4 in total so u get 2 new archer towers and cannons

Everyone should merge the archer towers since you get a bonus archer shooting so instead of 2 archers ( targets ) you get 3 for the price of 2

I think we all knew at some point merging defenses was coming as the game progressed. There is only so much space on the map for building so this only makes sense in order to continue advancing the game forward.

They can increase the village size to add more buildings but then they have to do some massive changes to gameplay i.e. attack time increase, attack in decimals, more troop capacity or 2 stages like builder base Unless they want to fundamentally change the home village the merged is kinda the only solution to get new updates without the above fundamental changes

I merged them and was attacked and the archer tower was not on my base and was just empty space where the tower should be..... what am I missing?

What yo do with the empty space created by the merged defenses? Enemy troops can be placed there in the empty space & weaken our base!!

Once we merge them, all of the current base layouts will have to be reworked so that there are no gaps... that would be a pain for sure

They are reworking hero’s with the new blacksmith building. The warden ability was only upgraded to level 1 and thus was so sjoty

I do not like this. Kinda lazy. New defenses don’t do crazy enough damage to make up for The amount of defenses you’re losing. Also makes base building a lot harder and the opposing attacks a lot easier

Don’t merge it after the update. Wait for a month or two for feedbacks. I think it would be really helpful to not merge for opponent to time fail.

@@TheLegend-rf7bkhave u seen what that canon and mutli Archer does to queen chargers and unicorn never ever suvives ....Thinking about time fail where u would just end the attack by killing the queen ...Would be really silly as th16 to not merge them..and if queen gets little diverted even the multiarcher can kill healers..There is a reason they r not introducing in lower th ...Let it come it will be damm op will need Nerf

I think they are weak defenses and they put no thought into this. So basic. And now they take more defenses away, and nerf every major defense. Offenses will dominate
