Love Merit! I’m in my 40s and have learned that less is more & my skin looks better with chic, sheer makeup like this

I too feel like merit is aimed at a late 30’s and older demographic. Younger women with no lines and wrinkles seem to be able to get away with heavier coverage complexion products and still look beautiful. I used to love that too. But I honestly find as I get older (I am 55, for reference)and my skin matures I look better with coverage over my discoloration/problem areas only and some actual naked skin showing on my face. Full coverage products get trapped in creases and wrinkles too easily. 😂 I never thought I would say that but there it is. I have two Merit complexion sticks that I use for edited coverage only and they have lasted me a very long time now. I love the lighter weight of this line on my face when I am working all day and don’t want to have to be worrying about how my make up is looking, do I need to touch up, etc. Its very similar to Jones Road by Bobbi Brown that way, only in my own experience, Merit seems to be more cooperative with oilier skin.

Love the honest review. Whatever you used on your face really accentuated your skin texture. Not that I am bashing your skin texture, we ALL have skin texture.

less is more is not what you are looking for... you want full coverage and they are clear that their make up is not full coverage LOL

I apricatee your honesty. I do have two of their cheek balms, and I don't find that they stay 'tacky'. The dry down nicely for me.

Coming from a guys perspective that wears makeup and likes it to look like I’m not lol 😂 I love Merit, just wish the stick was more sturdy but I’m on my second one

Appreciate the honest review about the foundation stick. It's very expensive and like you say, 1/4 of the size of normal foundation at a very £££ price!

Not everyone wants mica aka added shimmer in their bronzers, which the M Cosmetics and Elf have (and fairly high on the ingredient list). I don't mind mica in a highlighter but in contour and blush products it's a pass so the alternatives you suggested aren't going to work for those of us that don't enjoy discernible shimmer in every product, which is kind of the point of the Merit.

If you like the shade of Fox blush try Vieve Piazza blush, it’s the same shade. I loved the shade but needed a powder for lasting powder.

Replying every 2 hours is a no. I have glosses that wear a lot longer than that (Rimmel 8hr gloss for example). Great overview though.

I saw the claim of the highlighter and i swatched it like 3 different times in different stores and im like this definitely has glitter IDK why it was marketed as glow from within without sparkles. It definitely has sparkles

I have the bronzer & highlighter, both are sticky and unpleasant to use, my hair sticks to the product😢 Expensive mistake 😢

I’ve tried the entire line and it was just meh for me to. With the exception of the blush and the lipstick. Those 2 products I really like.

Merit gives me Glossier vibes

I really watched this video to hear about the single eyeshadows because they are being pushed hard by the over 40-50 age group of influencers. Personally, I don’t buy single eyeshadows because I have so many that I don’t use. I would rather grab a palette, but I wanted to hear an unbiased review of them. I definitely won’t be trying this brand now!

This brand doesnt impress me. Mediocre quality at hefty price. Pass.

I feel like Merit is aimed at an older demographic more like me or my mother. They might be be thinking of really old school lipstick being the heavy thick creme yet dry lipsticks. They didn't used to always be so versatile. It was solid or frost only 😂
