Same. I'm living in my car at the moment and spend everyday sleeping in my car until I have to work at night because I'm too concerned with building up my savings to get out of my situation. I want nothing more than to have fun and live my life but im putting it off because things aren't exactly where I want them to be but at the same time I feel like im missing out on so much. Since I heard this episode last night I've already reached out and made plans to reconnect with my childhood friend. I never would've done it if I hadn't heard this

Julian! I did a tour in Iraq and Afghanistan as a combat medic. That talk about real brotherly love was touching, and it’s really un-describable unless you loved/been loved like that in combat. You’re so inspirational, and I’m so happy you still fight everyday! Welcome home Marine!

I lost my person, soulmate, partner and lover Oct 25 this year of the past 16 years. He loved you Theo and watched your entertainment in its entirety, a real fan from the beginning and I love you bc of him. We finally had a baby this year and got to spend Halloween with your crazy ass last year. I miss him so much and am glad I can feel closer to him with the rest of the gang here ❤Merry Christmas dude. Theo, 2 years ago I went from United States Marine to a C-6 quadriplegic, loved backpacking, hunting, fishing all gone overnight. I came across you while spending 29 days in the ICU. My injury was caused by a fuckup by a surgeon removing a tumor from my spine. Everything gone overnight, can no longer work, lay the pipe or do any of the stuff I loved to do. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of tapping out but for some reason I get up and do it another day. Love hearing my brother telling his heroic story. Thanks for what you do. Man I’m 20 and just got kicked out.. can slowly sense that this alcohol and weed is gonna take control of me theo helps me severely though I quit watching him for a while but I don’t wanna be An alcoholic I’ve known too many they’re miserable so I hope I can resist the urge I know the repercussions but it’s not a deterrence funny how that works…

Damn I wasn’t expecting to get a full therapy session on this episode. That guy who called in with the dad issues was so relatable and everything Theo said is true and you can tell he truly feels bad, but can’t do anything beyond encouraging the guy. Theo is a genuine good dude. He gets it.

Theo I relate heavily with the “is it okay that I feel good?” There were times in my life where I got so used to feeling awful all the time and when I felt at least okay I would shut it down. Recently I have felt amazing and accepted it and spread it to other people so that they feel good to. Praise God baby!

Beautiful episode Theo! I'm a recently divorced 28 year old man with two kids who is considering joining the Marines, ironically. And this episode really touched my heart in so many ways. After 5 children and being the last i imagine they were tired, i was neglected and did that make me an introvert idk... i did notice growing up tho that i would hang on to good-byes w friends for too long a time....

When Theo started talking about not waiting for everything to be perfect, that hit me hard. I have so much self doubt in myself to pursue/try things that I want to do SO bad, but never do because I think "when xyz happens, I'll be able to do it better" etc. I hate that I have this mindset and am struggling hard to get over it because it is taking away so many opportunities from me.

When I was a kid it was The ShowBiz Pizza Place. 🐵🦍🐻🐶🥁🎸🎷🎶I was 9 and I remember being fascinated and horrified by the robotic hillbilly show they put on. It was really lame. I was more interested in the robotic part of it, I kinda felt like they were part real part robot and might kill us and was alarmed. And so didn't understand how these kids could sit there calmly eating this yucky gummy pizza with these creepy furry killer bears with banjos and drums about to loosen their bolts and get us with their red flashing eyes and clicking noises, I was trying to flag down the nearest parent covered in sweat cursing, holding a friends hand on my side. Hahahahaha!!!! Tales of Showbiz Pizza Place dramedy.🤣🎭

Yo, Theo You’re creeping into my weekly podcast rotation, my brain is finally clicking with the way you get your ideas across - that is to say i’m starting to listen to your pod regularly. So glad i stopped in on this one today, can’t tell ya how much i needed to hear that wisdom from mr. Poirier that you went over at the beginning of the pod.
