The more correct translation for pitou last episode was "He may sink his fangs into the king" instead of "his power is now equal to the king". However, post rose meruem is undeniably stronger now, so the chances for Gon to beat the King in his current state would be slim to say the least

Totally agree, I've seen this anime five times and I'd love to think Gon is as strong as meruem but post rose meruem is just another level of strength

talking about post? even pre nuke meruem never used his nen against Netero.. he won with sheer strength and intelligence

@@SanjaySingh-gm9vd Yeah but still in terms of nen they seem to be similar according to pitou, I don't think gon could win tho, mainly because meruem is far more intelligent even if they had similar strength, speed or amount of nen. My point was that even there you could argue, but post rose meruem seems to be just nearly invincible

@dankwaifu Still the only way she can compare them is by sensing their aura, so it's logical to think they were similar I personally don't thimk gon would win but the thing is we will actually never know how they were compared to each other. Also I agree that meruem would outsmart (and defeat) gon in no time

Yes, the king's En was literally FLASH, light! He was faster than Netero, except from one movement (when he touches his hands), when they first fought. Now with this power, he would've been able to kill him without any struggle.

They are connected in the sense that Meruem ate their flesh. And he also inherited Poufs abilities, thus he can read other's emotions

I love that the series don't give us a bullshit excuse for gon's recovery basically he cant use nen anymore even in the manga its stated that he might be able to but for now he cant so I'm glad the author did go through with the consequences of that instead of pulling some bullshit recovery.
