The author should be subjected for case studies for young animators studying to create their own manga or anime. Freaking brilliant character development. People should learn from Yoshihiro Togashi. This man is a freaking genius.

He is actually, together with another living legend, Tite Kubo and the great Akira Amano. I'm not allowed to elaborate but those three are just that uniquely phenomenal.

Togashi deliberately watched a lot of boring Hollywood and Japanese movies when he was a kid and when he became a mangaka He figured out how to make these boring movies interesting.

I disagree to an extent. He's made a terrible habit of flooding pages with text boxes. As we see here the narrator talks waaaay too much throughout the anime. Show, not tell. Any decent writing class will tell you that. So, yes, Togashi is a brilliant writer, but it's probably not for the best to study HunterxHunter if you're starting your own manga/anime

@@jase276 that’s part of his exposition and will never degrade his ability to write stories. If narration is too much for you, there’s a lot of generic media you can consume. Start with Naruto or One Piece.

People rarely praise Pouf. I think he's an S tier character and it's amazing how he stuck to his principles and vision.

oh i love Pouf, sometime i miss him so i re-read the manga with his parts only. when Meruem said he didn't deserve their loyalties and it cuts to the frame of the 3 of them, i cried. Meruem knows it too. they are too good for him.

@@tng2022 I've seen hxh 5 times now but I still forgot the part where Meruem thinks of the three of them! And I love that there are other Pouf fans! I love his internal monologues and his struggle in watching the kings changes. I love how intelligent he is and that he noticed the subtle changes and how he battled with them!

13:20 I love that it took that special emotional connection through aura for Pouf to realise the depth of Meruem's feelings towards Komugi.... he had to feel it in his own heart to understand it and died finally, utterly defeated and entirely loyal to Meruem

@@imawarrior3516 not logical but realistic. in reality the human resorts to that violent and nuclear weapons to solve all problems, for sure. it's not logical though, it's stupid and tragic, because when the bomb is used everyone dies, nobody get to be exempted. so to the point, the human is tragic and not so smart.

pouf was heart breaking and cry after hears meruem said to welfin: "I hope u will live as human" and he walk pass him..that's clearly give a meaning that meruem is stepping down from his throne and no longer want to be king.

The fact that Netero was prepared to use a bomb inside him was scary enough, but the fact that he had prepared a bomb that was specifically designed to POISON its victims just shows how well prepared he was in case the detonation didn't work.

I don't think he carry the bomb inside him. The bomb is underground but will detonate the moment his heart stop beating.

RIP Youpi. Honestly deserved so much better of an ending. An amazing character with incredible character development....which is essentially 99% of the characters in this arc. Incredible.

the words like "he's wavering between ant and human", with all the context like, humans are really obscure, violent and egocentrics, and the ants got too much pride, dont hesitate and seek power over all things, i think Meruem just trascends both of them. he evolves to a level pass that.

Meruem was one of the very few characters in all Anime history who had a development in this level. From pure assasin and tyranic, to a benevolent creature who could understand others. In only 40 days. All thanks to Komugi. Even Netero's actions couldn't change his thoughts about humans. This arc is pure gold, my friends.

Bro I don't know why but I can't hate Pouf. The royal guards are all loyal to the King but the way show it is different. Pitou care to the feeling of the Mereum, Youpi are loyal (Idk how can i differentiate his loyalty) and lastly Pouf is loyal to the title of "King' than Meruem itself

Youpi is more like a middle ground between the two, his thoughts/point of view is more aligned with Pouf's (thinking about what's best for the king) but if given the order his actions most likely will resemble Pitou's ( do what Meruem says with no scheming involved)

I don't remember about the anime, but the manga says this : "Gon and Gyro did not end up meeting. And Gyro left this town and disappeared somewhere. Whether that was fortunate for the two of them or not, it will remain unknown until they will eventually meet"
