I can't know how Drew's notes were presented, but if a talented, well-experienced actress with the experiences of 3 generations of actors behind her, and directing experience of her own tried to give me some pointers I'd say thank you and mean it even if I didn't agree. The thing is, Hugh Grant is a notoriety who makes movies and also makes the mistake of considering himself a serious actor.

Drew has clarified that story on her show. She said that in the beginning she and Hugh had a tense relationship because they were polar opposites personality wise. Its a very known fact that Hugh is a curmudgeon but she says that after that and they warmed up to each other, the tension was gone. She's had him on her show plenty of times and they even talked about that time they made out at a Soho restaurant in front of everyone. And btw, Grant is a brilliant actor who was typed casted in rom coms. Just watch him in the movie Maurice.
