I don't care what people say. You don't know nothing bout music. This set is tight. I'm a Drummer and I love to put this on and play to it. I lose myself in this song. This lady and her group are super talented. She's a hell of a Bass player as well. So is Mike Neal on Bass.......You'all non music people go back to sleep. We got this......

Me'shell Ndegeocello is the queen of bass and groove. She plays with our greats like Marcus Miller, has zero ego and has amazing talent and skill which she continues to share for those of us who just can't get enough. Ignore ignorant haters. They will always be there...stewing in their own ignorance and hating. We get music blessing along with 6.4K others. Haha!!

I used to watch Meshell Ndegeocello play all the time at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe in Greenwich Village circa 1991/1992 well before she blew up on MTV! I treasure those performances.

Darryl Robinson you're so right, having followed her since Beavis & Butthead back in the early 90's in stunned she's not more known. Maybe she likes it that way. I know I certainly do, the shear privilege of small venue gigs is unbelievable twenty five years later. Just amazing so lucky to have her in our lives.

I remember walking into a music store back in the 90's, I saw an interesting album cover (Plantation Lullabies). I slipped the headphones on and listened to her the intro, which perked my ears up. I kept listening and then I heard "I'm Digging You (Like An Old Soul Record) and I WAS HOOKED! Bought the album immediately and have been a fan ever since!

One of her most brilliant albums to date. This album was so earthy that every time I listen to it it actually calms my mood. 20+yrs and I still listen this album to sometimes wind down from a hectic week. This style of music will stand the test of time.

I just went to see her in Atlanta GA on 11-14 23. Show was awesome Meshell is a different kind of musician. Truely incredible. Only complaint was stage had red and blue lights the entire show couldnt really see her or the musicians. Being a Bass musician I really wanted to witness what all the bassist were doing..That was impossible.

Meshell, Is without a doubt one of the best musicians or artists that has ever and will grace us in our lifetime! She is so spiritually deep with her lyrics. From the arrangements of the musicians she chooses to work with her are simply awesome. When I listen to her music it takes me on a journey, like none other can reach. Mere words can't even come close to explaining what her energy in music brings to this planet!!! Her energy is out of this world!! I hope she knows her appreciation!!

NPR has a slogan ( All Songs Considered ) this is one of the most slept on artist EVER , and what a shame that is , these days people are caught up in this loop of mundane music and the radioes ( yeah I said it ) sad new age rap, while the music that you need to hear is being show cased on the tiny desk concerts of NPR .
