Aurora is a Gem! She calls her fan base "Warriors and weirdos", please join us. She's a very unique performer. Writer, producer, dancer, best experienced live. I've seen her live actually. She's quirky, funny, empathic and a sweet soul. I would suggest "Through the eyes of a child" live from Nidarosdomen next but hell, close your eyes and pick one, can't go wrong!

RUNAWAY is from Aurora her foirst album All my demons greeting me as a friend. other masterpieces on that album are ... Almost all songs; Many songs have been mentioned, but I go for other songs that you should definitely listen to/see: Aurora masterpieces, namely Wisdom Cries and I went to far (with video clip) under stars and a cover, namely Nature boy. because songs such as Lucky, Murder song, Trough the eyes are masterpieces from a different dimension that have often been commented on on KZfaq.

Some facts about the Runaway Music Video: It was shot (as far as we know) during January 31 to February 2, 2015. She was 18 at this time. She wrote Runaway at the age of 11-12 and finalized it at the age of 14 (for a school project, as she mentioned in an interview). The parts, where she wears the 'furry' top (it's actually sheep wool) are shot at the west coast of the Drange peninsula, less than a mile away from her parents house. The parts in the forest were shot in the same forest where she played as a kid very close to her parents house. The parts, in which she wears a thin white cardigan and with some trees in the near background and the island of Lysøya in the background, are shot actually in the backyard of her parents house in Drange (Norway).

Aurora is from Norway. She was born in 1996. She was around 18 when she made this video, filmed in the forests and the fjords where she grew up. Some of this video was shot in the yard of her parents, home overlooking the fjords. This song was the biggest single off her first album “All My Demons Greeting Me As A Friend”. Her music videos are all works of art, but you will love her live performances, especially ones from a 2019 concert she filmed in a Norwegian medieval cathedral called Nidarosdomen. I would recommend the song “Through The Eyes Of A Child” live in Nidarosdomen next. You can leave the copyright filters off Aurora’s videos and live performances, she loves reactors, and many of her live performances are public domain.

I knew you would love this. As soon as the alert came up, I thought to myself that you were going to be wowed. Anything from her is fantastic, and while her videos are always good, her lives are otherworldly. 'Lucky', 'Through the eyes of a Child' and 'Murder song (5, 4, 3, 2, 1)' are absoulte musts! And yes, she writes all her own stuff. Aurora and Ren are my absolute favorite current artists. Like many others, I hope one day they will collab on something. Both are beautiful souls ❤

For me it is no words for my love for this beautiful being. She is a Artist that write and sing song like no other and she is a total free spirit and a empath . You have so much right on her. Young looks but old and wise soul. You subscribe her channel and i subscribe yours for this wonderful journey...but be prepare she could be a cat sometime and other time she is a raging bull ;-) My favourite by her is Lucky live in Nidarosdomen. That one have a atmosphere thick as a rainforest and she wrote that between 9 and 11. Have a very nice time till next Aurora reaction.

I came for the Nightwish reactions, and stayed for the Aurora reactions. 😏 Two of the best rabbit holes you can go down. As with Nightwish, while both are fantastic in the studio, they're at their best live. If you think Aurora is great here, I can't wait to see you experience her live! She's one of the best live performers I've ever seen. Just a phenomenal artist and person. I like that you said she's like an old soul. I've always said she's an old soul in a young person's body. She has the wisdom of someone who has been around for a very long time, while still maintaining a childlike sense of wonder.

Very nice 😊. Started writing at a very young age as therapy more or less. No plan of any kind of career, and turned down offers at first. Very emotional, introverted and emphatic. Hated performing her first 100 concerts or so, but very comfortable now. Good music video's ("The Seed" is essential), but she really shines live. Some of my favorite versions of her songs are live and acoustic, but she's great in any setting. Great band but also performs with symphonic orchestras etc.

As it happens, Aurora has quite a few absolutely beautiful covers out as well, though the vast majority you'll ever hear from her is her own music. And her cover of this song is on a different level, you should really consider reacting to it. She performed it live in studio in Australia, on Triple j's Like A Version. Aurora was 18 in this music video in 2015, and she is 27 now (28 soon in June 2024). Her real name is Aurora Aksnes, and she is a Norwegian singer/songwriter, and she writes all of her music and lyrics, and she has released 3 albums and 2 EPS, and her 4th album will be released on June 7th. You should really watch live performances with her, since her voice is just as good live, and she is very captivating to watch. You can go watch "Runaway" again privately (or another reaction video) live at the 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert, and also "Murder Song (5,4,3,2,1)" at the same concert. If you like a cappella with amazing harmonies, then you should watch Through The Eyes of A Child - Stripped Vevo UK Lift, it is her only professionally recorded a cappella performance. Then there is an amazing acoustic performance called "It Happened Quiet" live at The Current from March 2019, and a whole concert from Nov 2017 in a cathedral called Nidarosdomen (Nidaros Cathedral), all the songs from that concert are amazing.

Hello Sharleen🙂 Great 1st reaction to Aurora! In a few days now you have reacted to both my favorite singers in the world; Angelina Jordan and Aurora. And though they are both Norwegian like myself, I'm pretty sure I'm not biased. They are just incredible standouts in the music industry today IMO. I see that you have received quite a few suggestions, where "Through The Eyes Of A Child" is a frequent one. And for good reason I think. It is also my personal favorite performance by her, but to get the full experience it's imperative that you react to her performance at the Nidarosdomen Cathedral. Nidarosdomen is the oldest and most beautiful cathedral here in Norway, and dates back to the 11th century, right after the viking era. All stone, so I guess it's needless to say that the acoustics is crazy good. And then the setting in that concert... It's quite possibly the most beautiful thing you'll see and hear in a very long time. I also commented on your reply to @sunset5399, suggesting one of Aurora's beautiful covers ("Across The Universe" by The Beatles). I don´t think your biased. I´m German and I love Norwegian music too, especially AURORA and Motorpsycho, a rock band from Trondheim, maybe you know them too. I also like Sigrid and Michelle Ullestad. Someone told me that in Norway every child can learn an instrument and this is paid of tax money. Is that true?

You need to hear this live. Great music vids, but she is one of those artists that really amazes live. Great songwriter! Try "Murder song 5 4 3 2 1" if you want to have a good cry, "The SEED" to be environmentally inspired, "Cure for Me" for human rights, and many, many more. Her covers of other artist's song are amazing - she makes them her own! Try her covers of Imagine Dragons' "Believer", David Bowie's "Life on Mars", Ariana Grande's "God is a Woman", the Beatle's "Across the Universe", Miley Cyrus' "Like a Wrecking Ball". Also, since you are starting the Norwegian tour 🙂, check out Kalandra ('Borders' is a beautiful start), Heilung ('Anoana') and Wardruna & Aurora('Helvegen'). Kalandra performs a beautiful version of Helvegen as well. So many more.. Susanne Sundfor, Eivor (edit: Eivor is Faroese, not Norwegian!
