Brother that there was a frequent breakfast in the Slate household. Sandwich or served as a plate (we didn't have singles back then, I guess, we used thick rectangle cuts from the can.) because you know, it's all about me...our bowling league is cancelled for a month. But THAT WAS WHERE I GOT MY FIX FOR TEXAS PETE ON THE EGG & SAUSAGE SAMMICH. What am I to do? I got Heinz 57. yes I did. I'm eating out of my grocery dumpster, because I'm the janitor now and can choose stuff to put aside when I throw it away =) Today I threw away 300$ in sammichs and chicken and ice cream. I only saved one sammich. Other days I put out a box for the people who seek, so they don't have to dumpster dive. Interesting work I have.

This is a better mess kit for cooking than the rectangular ones. I find it so hard to cook on rectangular kits.

Breakfast of champions.. lol.. food looks awesome. My mess kit is a 1966 i believe. And i think it's made of aluminium . What's yours made of? I haven't been able to master the nonstick cooking in it just yet. Thanks for sharing.

When I heard you were having spam/eggs I had to stop by.

Same idea as cast iron, you have to make it none stick, it just takes a little effort, sandwich looked good.

I've made a Spam and cheese sandwich but not with egg, I need to try that. Looked good. Also need to try to cook it in my mess kit.

youre right chris they are not hard cook in if you do it right. i just cooked some bacon and eggs in mine and it didnt stick a bit. i just washed it out with some hot water and a touch of dish detergent and it was plumb easy. thanks for your vids, keep up the good work. p.s. i really your vids cooking in the car. i do that to

In my short stint in the army (artillery), my mess kit never stuck. Never needed teflon or stonecoat. Just some water and course sand. Clean it with that and it was ready to go for the next disgusting thing they put in those sealed bags
