I wasn't even there and I felt the pressure...Jesus.

I KNOW RIGHT?! It was like a scene out of the Sopranos! And then at the end he says to Copperfield in that buttery smooth voice, "Now...if you practice..." and I lost it. Josh Messado is a genius.

Another superb performance! I can't believe how smooth and relaxed you were in this situation. I bought your rings and DVD... You've made linking rings interesting again.

Well done Mr. Messado. I performed the traditional linking rings for many years, but you have revolutionized the rings and methods. What an honor to perform before David Copperfield. Your composure was commendable and your performance superb. It looks like Copperfield tries to keep himself very composed, so you have to watch the video a few times to see all his reactions. For those who think he was bored and has seen it all, watch it again and crank up the volume to listen to his comments. Watch for when he raises his eyebrows, nods his head, smiles, or looks screen right at someone. Each time he does any of those, he is showing he was impressed, liked the move, and in a couple of cases, probably even surprised by what he saw. During the routine after the index finger melt apart, I heard him comment, "that's good", and something else I can't make out for sure, but sounded like "I like that". At the end speaking of the index finger move, he states, "this moment's great" and "that moment is terrific", and of the spiral spin and separation on his arm in the finale, he states, "this movement's terrific, the gyration's terrific"! And then in closing he says, "for people who've seen it all ... there's a moment ... ". I can't make out the rest of what he said due to poor audio. Though he responded and spoke in a subdued manner, I think this shows he was obviously impressed overall with Mr. Messado, his rings, and his moves and presentation. So well done sir. Wish I had discovered this several years ago when you first posted it.

Great job, I love your ring routine. There's parts of Shoot Ogawa's I like also like his spinning on the table link, and Dan Fleshmans 1st link. Great routine. Its a little strange how they all ignore you at the end and interrupt trying to take David away, but this moment was yours. I'd bet that was the best trick he saw in a lonng time...

If you want to impress copperfield, give him magicians magic. Everything else, he already knows.

That has get to be the GREATEST feeling to hear Copperfield nod his head in a "that was good" fashion. And then say "As someone who has seen everything, that was great" damn.

A shame that such a momentous occasion was shot on a lame cell phone instead of a decent video camera. Once in a lifetime opportunities only come but once.

Elite performance. It's too bad Copperfield's giant ego prevents him from enjoying other people's brilliant magic.

Cool that you met Copperfield, but.. the linking rings? One of the lamest tricks of all time? You didn't know that Copperfield owns all the original methods and all of the books ever written on the linking rings trick? What's wrong? You didn't have the cups and balls trick to show him? The only trick that could possibly have been any gayer? Lucky thing David is polite. You must have bored the fuck out of him!
@tanthaip10 жыл бұрын
Magic isn't meant to just fool people. Messado's performance was superb, and to be able to maintain composure with one of the biggest names in magic right at your face is a feat in itself.
@DrDoomrider10 жыл бұрын
You obviously don't know much about magic to say something like that. The linking rings plot is 3,000 years old! If it's still used by most of the greatest magicians, there must be a reason, don't you think? Seriouly dude, you should delete that post, because it make you look like an idiot in front of others magicians. By the way, what's your real name again?
@vincentlem25348 жыл бұрын
It seems to me that David was interested and wanted to see if Joshua was going to do anything different since David probably knows every method out there concerning the rings. He liked one move and complimented him on it. That was a big feat alone. Josh did a good job performing under pressure. Well done. I love the Rings and have been performing them for over twenty years.
@raquizta062 жыл бұрын
What would you have performed? Some elaborate escape trick? Walking on water? Is that what magic's all about?
