Aho, I was with 1st Battalion 2nd Marine Regiment, we were the ones that found the 507ths vehicles in An Nasiryah. Later that day as we pushed into the town to capture the bridge crossing the Euphrates we lost 18 Marines on March 23rd 2003 in Ambush Alley, Nasiryah. I did not know her while she was living, but that day we found them, she forever became a part of my life. We fought hard in that city from March 23 2003 to March 29 2003 in the Battle of Nasiryah. The Marines all together lost 32 kia, 60 wounded, but we killed alot more of them, we paid them back for you sister. I was able to visit the mountains that carry her name in Arizona last year. Something I needed to do to close that chapter. Her story carries on with me, and I share it anytime someone asks me about my experiences over there.
