They did take out a destroyer with the main guns. It was in a group and I think it hit ammo that blew up the ship.

THIS part, out of all the other stuff that is stupid/made up, actually DID happen I think. Dude hit live ammo with something that sparked it off. A 50 caliber couldn’t take out a destroyer, but its own Magazine could. Crazy that that’s the one insane thing in the movie that actually is true …

German pilots didn’t get to rotate back home for rest and refit. They fought continuously until they died or until the war ended. Allied pilots were just as good.

Look people I know a lot is unrealistic in the movie but from what I found in a quick google search is that they sunk a destroyer with only their machine guns (Prob hit ammo and were in a group) and they downed 3 Jets and damaged 5 I know the way it is shown is overblown and probably needed more thought put into showing their achievements but I would much rather prefer American propaganda over German Propaganda.

@@MiG-31893 there’s multiple videos here on KZfaq of allied pilots downing 262’s just like in this movie. A full squad a jets vs early p-51s is definitely an American disadvantage but you’ve gotta realize subsonic jets can’t dogfight prop fighters they have no speed that’s when the majority of them were shot down

@@lepiss9683 that is not true, one me-262 downed an entire squadron of p-51 with gunfire and rockets. Also very few me-262s were destroyed by p-51 because they could easily outrun the mustangs. In fact pilots were told not to worry about the escorts, just fly straight and shoot down bombers

It was a poorly made movie. Im American and love my country, but give me a break. That movie was a one sided joke. Also the P-40 wasnt nearly as good as the Me-109.

@@Toulouke1they did. Just look at gun camera footage from a p-51. The top speed of a me-262 was very poor and not very maneuverable which mustang pilots quickly took advantage of

@@jjfgaming1137 They mostly only managed to destroy them from take-offs and landings since they had to slow down drastically to land compared to the piston engines. Tho, there where a few confirmed kills in actual dogfights.

Good question. J-2 would probably win, it is baised of the wyvern and has 5 20mm cannons. Although focke Wulf Dora has excellent low altitude maneuverability. So the j-2 would try not to take the fight to low

Los FW 190 No eran maniobrables, tenían buena agilidad en el eje de las alas, pero en cuanto a giros cerrados no era muy bueno, giraba mejor el BF 109 Es por eso que en maniobrabilidas los alemanes nunca le ganarían a los japoneses, británicos o rusos

Да...Американцы настолько преукрасили своё мастерство в воздушных боях, и мощность своих пулемётов, что сбивают немецких асов как боксёры в клубе шахматистов, а их пулемёты на столько мощные, что ОДИН самолёт, разрывает целый корабль, ну а немцев сделали на столько косыми, что они вообще не разу не попали, не зенитные расчёты, не пилоты, смех да и только.

да, у того же Ме 262 калибр 30мм, у американцев 0,5, тем временем от немецкого истребителя у них одни царапины, а своими мустангами буквально рвут их на части(это непосредственно про фильм Red Tails)

@@user-wh6lx4gx4halso the Me 262s performed quick fly bys, they didnt actually follow the bomber formation when intercepting, this was because the 262s were the much faster plane and they used this against the P51, not only are the guns not realistic, but neither are the tactics
