It's okay to have different opinions, they both have different play style but someone once said " Messi makes you say WOW and Ronaldo makes you ask HOW" and I think this pretty much sums it up.

@finnblower7075 nobody says how for dribbling vs 5 as its being done consistently by other players as well. Same with shooting style, curving the ball is one of the most used techniques. But mastering the knuckleball the way ronaldo did was never seen before and scoring unbelievable unrepeatable goals alongside history of clutching and having a complete attackers' attributes, now that's unheard of. This is speaking objectively. This ain't even an opinion.

He has always been a great goalscorer buy when cr7 is not scoring there isn't much else he can do......he was even benched during his stint at man utd and in the world cup for Portugal because he wasn't scoring and when he is not scoring he is pretty much useless as he has also lost a lot of pace so he can't make runs behind anymore....dribbling wise he has been inconsistent and recently it would be safe to say that he can't really dribble anymore....he has never been a playmaker....also he has had very low defensive work rate throughout his career...unless he is given the ball in the box he can't really do anything with the ball either....he also has a pretty average game iq which is evident from his downfall because he failed to evolve as his body got slower.....He is by no means a one of a kind player.....his extreme dedication and obsession with winning has got him where he is....Without his goals he wouldn't even be in any kind of conversation past or present....players like Ronaldinho and maradona played like magicians but they have mediocre numbers but still are mentioned in several arguments simply because of HOW they played.....Messi has numbers that surpass CR7s(g/a) and has maintained a playstyle which is as beautiful if not more than maradona and Ronaldinho's and he has done so for 15+ years where both maradona and Ronaldinho spent at most 2 years in their primes.....There's no argument here

Cristiano (CR7) before his knee injury was an absolute BEAST on the pitch. There was very little that defenders could do against him besides praying hard that he will miss. Then he had to adapt his game and went from being an inverted winger to be the perfect striker. He is the most complete player ever. No disrespect for the legends of old, but Messi and CR7 are the 2 best ever. Personaly I prefer CR7 and he was never protected by the refs like Messi was. You couldn't "sneeze" when close to Messi that it would be a foul. CR7 always had to endure a ton of punishment and not being given a foul.

Sometimes football comes down to milliseconds, so the ball might be to your left with a defender coming on to it but your strong foot is your right foot so you dont have the time to move much so you could do the flick like you saw by putting your right leg around your left, of course some do it to be flashy 😅

11:30 it's called a rabona, really useful for when the ball is on your weaker side and you don't want to/can't kick the ball with the weaker foot. In this specific clip I think he does it because he was standing on his weak foot and wouldn't be able to switch his balance and kick the ball with that foot before getting closed down. Also looks pretty sick and is quite hard to do so a bit of showboating ✨

The cross like kick you talking about is named "Rabona" the brain trigger you to do this move so you can cross the ball quicker than using the leg that's on the side of the ball

Hi there!! the rabona pass ( in portuguese passe de letra) is a pass thst is used when you are not in a good position to pass with your weakst foot, in some sitiuations it is easier to pass it this way with more precision than with the weak foot. keep up the good work!! and regards from Portugal!!

11:40 The purpose is to give the ball a curve that the other foot wouldn’t do. Also if he’s right footed he’s probably more capable of making a precision pass with the right foot then the left one.

The guy in the video needs to watch Ronaldo videos from 2007-2009 for Man Utd and undertsand that the Premier League is the most physical league in the world and back then you had some of the best defenders in the world at the time playing in this league and Ronaldo at 21-23 years old took the actual piss out of the league and made the players look so average only 1 player got the better off him and that was Ashley Cole whos the best LB arguably the leage has ever seen

The purpose of the cross legged kick is to make his passes unpredictable. Footballers have a dominant leg, not Ronaldo. He can shoot right and left. His oponents just don't know where the ball will go. Lucky? Sorry, that's a nasty remark. This man is so good and traines so hard, he eactly knows what he does. If you watch the link I sent, where every acton of him is scientifically registered...it is NOT luck. He hardly watches he ball and focusses on his oponents. This is extremely hard and rare. Ronaldo is the best player to ever play the game. The in problem he has always had for me is his ease of going down and crying and rolling on the floor. Messi rarely goes down. But Messi played almost his whole career in Spain. And let’s be real, the Spanish league isn’t the best. Ronaldo done some of his best stuff in the English premier league, Messi has never played a season in the English league, maybe he would be decent, but we will never know. The Spanish league has some top quality teams at the top, but like most leagues the lower half are garbage, and that is where these guys score most of their goals. The premier league is a hard game every week, no rest weeks playing nobodies. Then Messi went to the French league, even worse than the Spanish league, a real easy league to play in. Now, not even at retiring age he’s gone where? Ronaldo is 38 and he’s now going to finish his career in Saudi. I bet he comes back to England to have his last season in the premier league though. Ronaldo is the best player ever, Messi definitely close behind but hasn’t played in England. Also if Ronaldo played for Argentina they would have probably won 3 world cups.

11:16 I can answer it in a way you will understand: with an analogy to basketball - which I'm assuming you are more familiar with. What's the difference between a normal straigth pass, and a pass behind the back ? Difficulty ! The "behind the back" pass has a greater degree of failure/error, so the fact that you can reliably perform it proves that you are VERY skilled. As a general note about your reaction video: I don't mean to be rude, but it has to be said that since you are not very familiar with the sport, a lot of what's happening in this video is probably lost on you. Just like in the example mentioned above (with the behind the back pass) you can't truly appreciate something that an athlete does if you don't know how rare/difficult that move is. It's like me, who barely even knows the rules of chess watching Magnus Carlsen play .. or again me, who can barely cook some fries, watching Gordon Ramsay cook. The point of this is: keep watching soccer, grow your knowledge of the sport, and as your expertise rises - so will your appreciation for Ronaldo and Messi, because what they are doing is more impressive than what you give them credit for now.
