Pele had 3 world cups . That's frickin amazing . But Pele never won it alone . He had an entire team and if u remember properly, Brazilians were the most talented players during the 1950s-1960s like Pele , Garrincha . Messi won 1 world cup and he also won even more trophies individually and team wise . And Pele was also part of one single team if u remember properly , Santos FC . Also Pele scored 81 goals in international wise after being in multiple international competitions. Pele was a fantastic player , one of the Greatest but Messi is just better.
