You must not have watched a lot of F1 then. Watch more, and you will see that comparing Verstappen to the 'Most Skilled Drivers Ever' in F1 is a bit of a stretch, and I say this as big Verstappen fan, with a lot of respect for the guy. In fact, I bet you've never seen Senna in a race live, and are just saying that because everyone says it. I bet you've only been watching F1 a few years, and actually have no idea if Senna is the most skilled ever......so you just assume he is on Max's level, and so made that comment. And you would be wrong. Hamilton is Max's level, believe it or not, so is Ricciardo... if McLaren give him the car, he'll prove it.... Alonso looks like he has lost nothing, which surprised me, but he still has it, so he is on Max's level, on their day, both Ferrari boys are on Max's level....... ......but Ayrton Senna was on a whole different level. Only Hamilton comes close. Even then, Hamilton is a little off the true greats, skill wise. Senna was a virtuoso, skill wise, that Verstappen has not yet shown he can come close to. Some drivers HAVE, but not Max. Jackie Stewart won THREE WDC's in a career which lasted just 99 races....... watch some of them, and you will see why. Skill wise, he too was God. Schumacher, especially in his first WDC, when he did not have the Ferrari gods behind him, showed his insane skills too, in ways we forget, because he later made it seem so easy. When Jack Brabham won the only dual World Title, winning both the CONSTRUCTORS and WDC, because he designed a built the car he won the championship in, he was an 'old man', but he was AT ONE with that car for much of the season, skill wise. Then we have perhaps the most underrated multiple WDC ever... the legendary Nelson Piquet. This guy? His pure driving skill was on whole different level again. He was beyond even the people I have just mentioned. Do not believe me? Look up the greatest overtake in motorsport history: the debut Hungarian GP, 1986.... and Piquet's overtake on Senna.... around the outside, at almost 200kph, four wheel drifting, one hand sawing away near full opposite lock.... and only one hand, because he is using the other to flip him he bird. Before his accident, Piquet's pure driving skill was beyond even Senna, or Schumacher, or Clark. I think you only declare Verstappen to have the 'greatest' skill ever, because you have NEVER seen those guys. You do not understand just how beyond Verstappen they were. Does not mean Max cannot get there, but Hamilton has achieved FAR FAR more than Max, and his skills are only just touching the shadow of the aforementioned chaps, perhaps Alonso too, and Vettel at his peak......maybe, just maybe someone like Hakkonen, comes even closer, given his ability to beat Schuey, Verstappen just is NOT even close to there yet.
