This is a video in regards to Messi's insane season 2011-12. Messi showed no mercy to teams and was on a unrelenting run of goals/assists, with some exquisite dribbles. Messi racked up a gigantic 73 goals & 30 assists within 60 games for Barcelona. For stats alone, this is the peak season of any footballer, but Messi does it in his own style. scoring a tremendous amount of non-penalty goals, that I haven't even included one pen. The goat!

This season of Messi is just scary, his highlights this season looks like a player's career highlights. Messi scored a outrageous, 73 goals & 30 assists in 60 games for Barcelona, 103 g/a in 60 games, insanity. If you go on stats alone, this is the peak season of a footballer & may not be beaten anytime soon. His play making this season is also other worldly, not to mention is exquisite dribbles that strikes fear in the heart's of any opposition. This is the Messi season I think was the best in terms of stats. In 2011 I think he was the best attacker( really dangerous because of his pace and dribbling) In 2014-15 he was the best player( complete) 2018-19 was where he carried Barca. 2016-17 and 2017-18 are really underrated tho

I totally agree with your comment. In a way, Messi emulated Maradona for Barcelona in the 2018-2019 season in terms of carrying a weakened team to glory (La Liga) and dragging them to the UCL semifinal. Also, he somewhat did the same for Argentina in the 2022 World Cup. The 2014/2015 season also I have a soft spot for, especially because that is the last season he won the UEFA Champions League; as well as the revenge season for not winning the 2014 World Cup. He is playing in MLS now, but I think he has 3 - 4 years left for Argentina where he can win a few more titles and being the best player on his team.

This year is the career highlights for most of the other top 10 players in history. Like this year his highlights are much better than KDB's career or even Iniesta or Xavi's careers. I would argue that this year alone for messi has better highlights than like Zidane.
