In 2014, Messi had 80 G/A + won the Golden Ball at the World Cup. In 2016, Messi had 90 G/A, won the domestic double + won POTT at the Copa America. In 2018, Messi had 77 G/A, won the domestic double, and came FIFTH. So, no, we don't care if you don't think he deserves it. For years, all everyone said was "sorry Messi, you have to win a major title". And now, when all Lewandowski has is the Bundesliga (Which Bayern have won 9 years in a row) and Messi WON a major title, no one seems to care anymore. It sucks Lewandowski didn't win in 2020, it was certainly deserved. But, 2021 is a new year and by all the criteria that made Messi lose in those prior editions, he should now be the winner.

Lewy deserved Last year's Ballon D'or because International Level didn't matter in 2020 (because there was no Euro or Copa) But Messi deserved it this year, cause of his performance for club and country. Cause Ballon D'or is not only for an individual's Club stats, They also include International stats (which ruined lewy's chances and Increased Messi's chances) But to this day... I still wonder why they didn't make 2020 Ballon D'or cause Lewandowski deserved it Last year. but that's French Football and FIFA nothing we can do about it

Robbed? Okay Lewa may deserved it a tiny bit more than messi, but it was no robbery.. 2020 yes because Robert deserved it there. The other two? 2014? Ronaldo bombed everything that year, won the CL by destroying Bayern,so no 2014 is no robbery. 2013 Ribery is the next thing that wasn't a robbery .. Messi and Ronaldo both were outstanding in 2013, yes Ribery was good and won the Triple but it's a award given to the best player not the one who played in the best team. Don't get me wrong, I would understand if Robert won it this year but messi isn't far of him, from 1.1-26.10 the ballon de or votes count and in this time Leo was 8 G/A short to Lewa won the copa nearly by himself and dragged a dead Barca Team to a Copa del Rey win. Most assists, most completed dribbles, International trophy, top scorer and assister in the tournament, most outside the box goals, most free kick goals, most chances created, Copa del rey, literally carried barca so hard to top 3 and it shows. Lewa deserved it last year but Messi shouldn't be questioned this year.

The Ballon d’or is a joke. The once world renowned award meant to signify who the greatest player on the planet is has gone from being the measuring stick by which footballers should be held accountable to, to being a love-in for two men. It has degenerated in the last 15 years to an old boys club, with only two players even deemed worthy of picking up the Ballon d’or.
