It's madness to me how many try and play these two off against each other. Generations normally have one phenom and several world class players just behind them. Players, pundits and more so fans passing the torch from one great to the next. These two though, they didn't do it traditionally, one didn't step aside and pass the torch. I started watching football in the very early 90s, so I can only comment on those I've saw.... And I've saw some absolute beasts. Zidane, Ronaldinho, Ronaldo(9), Henry, Rivaldo, I could go on and on... These two though, wow, they've been so tremendous to watch and the best footballers, I personally have ever witnessed in my time.

They have many things in common but we see all the things that are different. Both were very poor, had some problems growing up, both were hardworking and talented, they came from no where and now they are spreaded every where, i can never imagine someone beating their records. They were the legends of this game for 20 years and now at this age my man ronaldo is banging 30+G/A a season and messi scoring a 5 goals a game.
