Lyrics in English: I believe, I believe with faith completely, in the coming of the Mashiach, I believe. Mashiach, Mashiach, oyoyoyoyoy! And though He may tarry, nonetheless I will wait for Him. I will wait each day for Him to come! Then these stanzas are repeated throughout. ‘Mashiach’ means ‘Anointed’, and is the equivalent of ‘Christ’ in English. The idea is that the true Mashiach is the Son of David and true King of a united Israel, who is Anointed by Adonai (the LORD God) to gather the Jews of the dispersion and establish God’s reign and a new priestly order over all the earth.
