@@anigerianninja4577 agree. The players were mediocre but really fits in argentina system. Most of them are not goal scorers,not even playmakers that give many assists, but they have excellent work rate, have midfielders that did A LOT of pressing in the opposition area, were very quick to win the ball back, hv quite good technical abilities like passing, dribbling, ball control, awareness, all the things for build-up plays that messi need to thrive and let him do all the scoring and assist.

@@empiremusic2705 that's not what being built around someone means . being build around Messi , means the entire system is made so we can get the best of all of Messi's qualities , his vision , his passing , his movement , his finishing . old Argentina wasn't built around Messi , Messi was the entire team , he had to do everything, because there was no game plan. when the Game plan is clear and built around him , u get the best of him, and Messi in return makes the whole team better.

The absolute fact is that Messi is *FAR ABOVE* the others in terms of technique, intelligence, talent and any other aspects of the game. Although I'm a diehard fan of Cristiano Ronaldo, this type of comparison is even inhumane to Cristiano Ronaldo himself. @@crabguy34 yeah, I may be wrong though. though, in slowmo, he faked to shoot with his left allowing the ball to roll to his right, but the ball seemed to roll farther away to the path of Messi to to what he does best in those situations. Argentina used to have very well known coaches, famous around the world and it took someone who was the opposite of all those previous coaches, who had been also a player on the NT but never was a "superstar" but he seems like he has the right mentality, dedication, passion for the job. Previous coaches also had Messi n other superstars but couldn't accomplish their goal. Messi is leading this team of young guys, under Scaloni n they have become an excellent team, they are brothers in arms. There never will be another player in history like Messi, in and out of the pitch is incredible

Thinking of Messiless football is a nightmare. The whole world will miss him. Many made comparison between Messi and Ronaldo. To me, the skill that Messi has is something no footballer has so far. Even as a Messi fan, for the sake of future generations and the progression of the sport, I hope we'll somehow see someone as great or even better than Messi comes along to bring joy and magic like Messi did for us all these years and spark up the GOAT debates again. But I think it might take a long while though. And by then, me as an old fart will be like "you kids never seen Messi" lol. i love how scaloni celebrated messi's incredible dribble at 8:36. i wish messi was able to pull off an assist but the pass was slightly off but the teammate didn't make the right read and he changed the direction of his run, so he couldnt intercept the pass. was a cool play tho

They have conceded 11 gls in their last 35 matches counting Qatar. Currently on a 13 match winning streak (no ties), and have allowed (0) gls in 7 straight matches. Since I started noticing this man, it was obvious he was somebody special. He's never failed to make me shake my head in awe over his talents. He deserves everything he's won. I'm blessed to have lived during the time he played and is still playing . I don't believe we will see anything of his raw talent again .
