@@hasekfan2450 um? you do know there are a lot of koreans that are lgbtq right!? yes korean citizen still lack at accepting lgbtq people then in other countries but there are a *lot* of people who are lgbtq and accept them. if we compare SK and Germany a bit you would notice that in SK they have the right to marry the same sex,have rings, a wedding etc. Things like that weren't allowed in Germany until 2017

The guy she liked turned out to be so different in the morning! At night he was cool and suave, but he turned into an obsessive-compulsive geek in the morning. That was a big surprise to me, even down to his wearing glasses. I did not expect that. The way she rebelliously sat her cup down on his stereo and left was very telling. She had to laugh to herself because she was so disappointed in the morning reality that trashed all her romantic feelings for him. I thought it was a well-done, very effective piece. Very well orchestrated and thought out. It kept my attention.

I don't think it has to do with feminism at all. I am a guy and I like the direction as well. So many weak FL's in drama. Almost always either dumb and acting cute or intelligent but somehow airheaded. Nice to see someone like her who knows what she wants.

Not that it matters because just how you already stated women in Korea have still some old school(west in the 50's kind) expectations. Feminism is needed in Korea but sadly that probably won't really change in Asia as whole for many years to come.

Finally someone who smokes! I can't stand the hypocrisy of korean dramas where the smoking scene are censodered and replaced by people who drink alchool (as if alchool is less detrimental for health then smoke). If movies are supposed to depict real life... well, in real life there are smokers!
