not really, some designer who invited her would've forced her to wear something unimaginative because they would be too scared to go all out...just look at Violet and Aquaria, they could've done something more amazing but were limited by their designers. What they wore were not bad but for drag queens, who epitomizes what camp is, they were being restricted restricted.

We can give black trans women and drag queens credit for breathing new life into camp and popularizing it for the modern audiences but they did not create it and both things can be addressed without diminishing either It not anti-white but a desire to give marginalized groups at least some of the credit they deserve but here it is done poorly

Smurfette101 No girl. It doesn't work that way. If it did, Sasha would've been invited. Aquaria is not iconic yet, Violet is getting there. The people who are invited and participate are able to do so because they are sponsored by a fashion house. Aquaria walked with Galliano and Violet walked with Moschino. If you don't get a sponsor, you are not invited to the Gala. Unless you still wanna pay tens of thousands of dollars out of your own pocket.

When there's a stronger opinion, other people would want to follow it as well and try to fabricate it as their own idea by making the opinion more formal with use of deep words. Like social media and conspiracy theories. When you express your own theory, it influences others to add more depth into it even if they aren't the one to provide the main idea.

honestly for this, Lena Waithe's look was my favorite. Gaga's & Janelle Monet's were campy in big, brilliant, clearly self-referential ways. so they're in my top.. but Lena's managed to be campy in small details. like, i had no idea the pinstripes were lyrics by camp icons, for instance. she was a goddamn history lesson?! that in & of itself was so interesting.
