- not worth sending an email except for the lawyer. $200 - paid equivalent to an “extra” and I guess the lawyer keeps the residuals.

The lawyers will get between 25 percent and 35 percent-though it may be higher in some cases

"This settlement sends a message loud and clear..." Say what? No it doesn't... $51 million Canadian is a cost of doing business, they likely didn't even notice that money fall out of their couch cushions at Facebook. Should be hundreds of millions or a billion if the law was meant to hurt and dissuade platforms from trying this in the future. Weak laws and weak settlement.

wait, i know that there are legal fees, but how does 51000000 /4000000 = "up to $200 per person" is my math that bad or thats just the reality of the legal fees lol.. either way, quite a nice fu to fb, i guess...... sure its a drip in the pond for them :(
