I use my Quest 3 with my hands all the time. It’s not unusable. Use it like a tablet and not from nine miles away with that crappy pointer. It’s not perfect and needs work but it’s perfectly useable. Also there’s less latency with hand tracking on the Quest.

You lost me when you used your experience on a virtual rollercoaster as some catch-all proof that the Q3 causes more VR sickness.

Comes down to what you want to do. If you want to game, Quest 3 wins hands down. If it’s productivity, I’d rather not use any headset.

I am an apple fan boy too, just not for the Vision Pro , Meta quest 3 is the jack of all trades , you can buy silicon face cover, which can seal from lights. Portable battery , elite strap, lots of third party accessories . Games and Apps especially . Vision Pro pro is just multi tasking windows and Entertainment. Not a fair comparison both are different product for the audience ,👎

The vision pro should have an option to use an memoji instead of the persona. Apple already designed the body of memojies as well.

Eye tracking and just eye tracking is super harsh on your eyes and most people are saying your eyes hurt after 30 mins, and for something that is $4k if u drop it cuz the damn cord is always in the way , the avp is so fragile while ive dropped the quest 3 twice with nothing happening

It's really hard for iSheeps to be unbiased and honest and it clearly reflects in these videos as they all praise hard such limited usability and poorly designed product. AVO is such a delicate product for 3.5k, it's almost funny, drop once and it's e-waste instantly, it's like MAGIC. That front screen is totally unnecessary and it's heavy without even battery inside it.

Most of the Quest's shortcomings are easily solved with apps and aftermarket products, and knowing how to disable boundaries, and tracking etc.. But I get it, this is an out of box comparison.. Love the AVP's hardware, and when the app library matures, and the price is reasonable it will be a beast..

very professional video, quality wise but very, very biased. we can observe that the avp is your clear favorite. of course, as human beings we will always have some bias but here you have to be objective. you could have said that you like the avp more but saying at the beginning that we know which one the better product is just blatantly unprofessional as a tech reviewer. well, for once the meta quest is much more capable in terms of functionality, it offers many more possibilities than the vision pro, including an exponentially larger app library, compatibility with steam VR and pc VR and well other features allowing much more multitasking than on the vision pro because it is compatible with Mac and Windows without window restrictions or anything. In my opinion I believe that the meta quest 3 is not only the better value as a product but the better product altogether on several points. yes, the vision pro has some advantages like the resolution of the passthrough, the eye sensors and better tracking of hands and objects placed in space (even though the one on the quest is also very good) and that's it. even if the vision pro was cheaper than the meta quest 3 I would still take the meta quest without hesitation. we tend to believe that ,more expensive = better, which is not always the case.

This is the exact review I needed to see. I went in the Apple Store to demo the Vision Pro and loved it. I have the quest 2 already and was debating on if I should just get the quest 3 or save more and get the Vision Pro. The pass through and just watching movies is the biggest I wondered about. I know the Vision Pro has a higher resolution for the cameras and lenses but I didn’t know if it was THAT much of a difference. I think I’ll get the vision pro

Actually there are 2 modes of using your finger. You can 'touch' or 'pinch' on the menu when you are not using immersion mode.

This is purely my opinion but the Vision Pro headset is for two types of ppl. The first set of people are those ppl who are making KZfaq video content for it. The second(although this includes the first) are those for who the cost of this headset is inconsequential to them (I.e. it’s easily affordable to them).

I hate the digital persona for the Vision Pro, gives my crazy uncanny valley vibes and the mouth and eye movement looks so weird.

And the pass through is good for me on the Quest 3 the only thing is if I put my hand right infront of my face the it feels like the image is wobbling and its same on the Vision Pro is you put a water bottle I front of it also I bet you didn't know that and I have tweaked the brightness and colour so my pass through is nice bro you probably never update your headset or something bro and the Vision Pro's field of view is low compared to every headset put right now and not to mention theirs been people saying that they burst a blood vessel in their eye from using this device so I think I am going to stay away from it I tried it once and to my it's like 10% better than the Quest 3 in terms of specs and thr Apple chip inside has no AI features built into the chip and the Quest 3s chip does but for $500 and I can play GTA San Andreas in VR when it comes out apple might have a major problem lool just with GTA San Andreas coming to the Quest 3 headset

Such a biased review. You’re literally trying to make sound like a gift to HAVE to have a battery tethered with a wire that gets caught in arms, chairs and door handles when the fact is it is OPTIONAL to have a tethered battery with the Quest. Oh and the USBC on the Quest allows for data transfer, something the AVP does NOT. On top of that the AVP has slower WiFi/internet speed for data transfer. I could keep going but next time just start the video by prefacing it with “Apple fanboy comparison”

Erm you need to try immersed for meta, also Meta has its own Remote Desktop. This review sounds extremely biased. I could buy a AVP tomorrow but I believe in value for money and the AVP just isn't.

The Vision Pro is not better than the Quest 3 it has no good software and it cost to much and for me as I am a Music Producer as I need a headphone jack and a USB C and the Apple Vision Pro is not a good design drop that one your be upset that's why no other headset maker has put glass on their headsets asbits a bad design choice and also it no controllers for apps other than games that would require it as you need feedback in some apps and the Mixed Reality games are on a different level not just floating screens their acouple of games like that on the Apple Vision Pro but with no controller support you get no feedback and the Vision Pro won't do fitness apps very well as it has an external battery and its still heavier than most headsets for now I'll stick to my Quest 3 and my Playstation VR2 and i will get the immersed visor instead which will give me a higher resolution and a much much better design for $950

Great video. Thank you for this! I’ve watched these “comparison” videos and wondered “did the AVP suddenly FIX the Quest?” I eventually realized reviewers were tricking their viewers. The comparisons they made only rated the AVP’s flaws, not each of their flaws. The Quest sat on Walmart, Target, Best Buy and Amazon shelves because people didn’t want to deal with the clunky OS, motion sickness, the warped, trippy pass through and general blurriness everywhere when in VR. Those flaws in the Quest mysteriously disappeared when other KZfaqrs made “comparison” videos. Good job.

Thanks man ! this was a sought after comparison. It looks like Vision Pro is working on a whole new level in terms of quality of experience. A great analogy would be you got a land parcel in Beverley hills, it's up to you and your developers to build a beautiful house and it's possible to dream big here although every thing you touch is expensive ! Where as the Quest is like an apartment in downtown, every things close by and accessible but your are restricted by its practical form. You can innovate within and do something really impressive but it's hard to think beyond.

I have both of them and they do completely different things. The gaming on The Meta Quest 3 is great but the quality of the Optics on are nowhere near apples visions. The black levels on The Quest 3 are horrible however metal Quest 3 is far more useful because it's got a lot of applications. But they're really really different devices

The 2 killer feature of the Apple Vision Pro are definitely the ecosystem combined with the pass through and the experience. When I wear my meta quest I feel so cut off from my family and the rest of the world (ironically) even in pass through. The AVP keeps me connected with the world because of iMessage, FaceTime, and other communication apps, and the pass through is good enough that I am able to engage with my family enough to where it doesn’t feel awkward. I actually feel more engaged than I do when I am using my phone or iPad because I no longer have to be heads down. There is something about being able to keep your head up that seems more engaging when interacting with people. Due to the ecosystem, you are able to do all the same things that you normally do on your phone or iPad, and even your Mac, right there in the headset, with your head up. Great review.

Solution… own both. use the metal quest for games as a toy. And use the Vision Pro for a profesional/ awesome movie viewing experience .

As long as you're unable to kill Zombies on the Vision Pro it's not worth it from a gaming perspective 😂 I would not buy a 3500 (plus tax) headset just to get a larger display for computer work or for watching movies. On the other hand... I would NEVER watch a movie on the Meta Quest - the quality is just horrible. When the Vision Pros price goes down to half of what it is now I will consider getting one. Without gaming I just don't see the need.
