I use a mix of Dewalt and Metabo tools. The old 18v Triple hammer from 2016 is still a better designed tool that even the 845. I find the trigger on the 18v Bolt is so good that i leave it in power mode the vast majority of time

I picked one up recently making the jump into the metabo line. Only used it around the house and building a deck. Definitely a big fan so far!

I think the best way to describe it, is it feels like Makita but for half the price and double the warranty.

The 36v line, at least from what i can tell, was more about being a hybrid platform as its easier to stepdown 120 to 36 rather than 120 to 18.

You the man! I’ve been trying to find videos on the new bolt triple hammer. Do you have the non bolt triple hammer 18v as well? Been trying to find a side by side performance video against the 2 of them

I have been 100% Makita 18v, but I wanted a 1/2 router and had to get Hikoki. This tool is awesome ( 36v multi volt) . Since then I haven’t bought any Makita. The Hikoki stuff is great ( 1st fix nailer, impact driver, sds drill, impact wrench). The other thing is the batteries don’t get “stolen “ by my wife for her garden tools so I always have a 36v ready for use. The Hikoki is generally lower cost and just as good, if not better than the Makita.

ive been wanting to get the new 18v bolt but ive got 2 old gen 36v triple hammers and one 18v from the clearance deals Lowes was doing about a year ago

Yeah, I picked some up on the same sale! Great deals. I’ve sold a couple as well as kept a few. Picked up two 36 Volt MultiVolt Hammer drill kits, with cases, for $210.00 out the door! I will NEVER see a deal like that again, plus I sent off for the rebate, and received two 8.0 Ah 36 Volt batteries as part of the Rebate program! Crazy! Stay safe !

I found 2 of these triple hammer bolt kits on clearance at Lowe's for $119 ea. picked up both. Looks like Lowe's is not going to be carrying Metabo hpt. My local Lowe's doesn't even have the Metabo hpt display anymore

Those “older” 2.0’s are actually newer junky batteries they put into budget and shrinkflated kits. The proper batts would have been 3.0 ah.

Great review. Helped make my decision to get the 18v over the 36v. Only 36v batteries in the 36v is a major drawback

There is just ‘something’ about the triple hammers?? And why cant Metabo put a decent FWD/REV switch on the drills, like they have on the impacts? The drills are great, but let down by that sloppy/ loose switch. Good video!

Haha funny you mention the sloppy switches on the drills. I am working on a Makita/Metabo drill video this evening and the switches on the Metabo drills are a big thing I will mention in the upcoming video.

@@UltimateToolReviews Hey, thanks for reply, and looking forward to that video! I really like the feel of the handle design on the Metabo, and triggers are comfortable and responsive, just not those fwd/rev switches.
