I'm from Grand Rapids Mich. And I gotta say that J Dilla is a Detroit legend who's influence and impact on the culture will resonate FOREVER. What he could do with an MPC was magical.

YO MBD, Been watching you for a minute. I grew up with 90% of the music you review. From the R&B funk to the Hip-Hop. You seem to be very well knowledged in music and how it's done. So I was wondering how do you not know Earth, Wind & Fire, Parliament/Funkadelic, Slave, Cameo, Biggie, Pac, Pun, KRS, Rakim ect... What did you grow up with if you know the Hood... I'm 60 now.
