I think my favorite part about this song is how they keep going back and forth with multiple shorter verses instead of just going one at a time then the song ending.

I love that shit idk if you know of Don Trip & Starlito but they got hooked up by Yo Gotti and been a monster duo ever since. They have collab albums entitled "Stepbrothers" based off the film, and they do this all the time they have songs with no hooks just back and forth between them I love every single one, idk why it's a thing with me but I love songs like that with no hook just going the entire length with a verse. This obviously had a hook a great one I mean it's 2 of the GOATS, but Stepbrothers do it on a lot of their songs and I never tire of a single 1 of em.

Love this song, this is one of my favorites. Fun fact, Daz Dillinger, the producer of this beat, almost gave this beat to Dru Down, a rapper from Oakland. Tupac would complete songs so quickly that they just had to feed him beats like this, even if they were going to other rappers. It would be dope if you could give Bay Area rap some more love. I saw you react to N2DEEP and Digital Underground so far. You should definitely check out more songs like The Ghetto by Too Short and Pimp Of The Year by Dru Down.

Daz Dillinger is the credited producer, but fyi the mixing credits went to DJ Quik (David Blake) and he had his hands (largely uncredited) all over the production and engineering of this album, which brings me back to saying one of these days you GOTTA hear his album "Rhythm-al-ism" ...he took the whole west-coast funk-rap to a new dimension on that album, and the layers in every song are some of the most lush sonics you'll hear from that genre...Don't be fooled by the tag "DJ", he's a serious musician, plays several instruments, and an engineering wizard.

jonatopik 💯💯 rhythmalism is the best sounding album in hip hop, maybe in modern music in general. The instrumentation and engineering on it is unparalleled.

@Chuck Taylor Daz is the credited producer, and he certainly had a lot to do with it, but its well known Quik was heavily involved in a lot of All Eyez tracks he wasn't credited for, especially in terms of engineering/mixing.

@Chuck Taylor fair enough. Didn't mean to insinuate he was the sole or main producer of this specific beat. Altho, i will say this: Dirty was especially marveling at the spacing and mixing of this track. Take a wild guess who Wikipedia says mixed this track: David Blake (aka DJ Quik)
